You'd be surprised if you did NDSU and JMU

Are you giving us homework on a Sunday night? I'm already well into a nice bourbon.

After Weber, Griz opponents at 65-55. Are you referring to the very last opponent, the Cats? If so they are 8-3 right now and let’s say 8-4 after Griz game. So that makes Griz opponent record 73-59

I see what you're saying. I was just using the NCAA's site. Guess we're going to have to do this the long way...

I went at it in a little different angle.

I went off Big sky stats, Conference opponents only and used scoring, which to me is the most important Stat of all

Took both Cats and the Griz, games this year, opponents average score both sides (what they score per game and how many points they allow per game)

Cats first
NAU cats scored +8 more than NAU allows and NAU scored +10 more than the cats allow = -2
C Poly even on this one and CP scored +7 more than the cats allow = -7
Sac cats scored -2 less than Sac allows and Sac scored +13 more than the cats allow = -15
SUU cats scored +9 more than SUU allows and SUU scored -14 less than the cats allow = +23
UNC cats scored +7 more than UNC allows and UNC scored -7 less than the cats allow = + 14
UCD cats scored -5 less than UCD allows and UCD scored -4 less than the cats allow = -1

Total for the cats is +12

Griz
UCD Griz scored +13 more than UCD allows and UCD scored -3 less than the Griz allow = +16
ISU Griz scored +19 more than ISU allows and ISU scored -3 less than the Griz allow = +22
SAC Griz scored -1 less than SAC allows and SAC scored +26 more than the Griz allow = -27
EWU Griz scored +4 more than EWU allows and EWU scored -6 less than the Griz allow = +10
PSU Griz scored +6 more than PSU allows and PSU scored 0 less than the Griz allow = +6
UI Griz scored +14 more than UI allows and UI scored -6 less than the Griz allow = +20
WSU Griz scored +10 more than WSU allows and WSU scored -7 less than the Griz allow = +17

Total for the Griz is +64

Interesting for sure

Hope this isn't too confusing

That's a really interesting way to compare. An attempt to look at the quality of performance for each game. Nicely done!

:thumb:

I looked into the stats also, they are pretty misleading because of quality of opponents. If I get time this week, I can compare some of those also. Needless to say, no doubt the Griz have played a way tougher schedule than the cats. Iron sharpens Iron!!

Good comparisons and the nice thing is we, for the most part, have weathered the storm and are relatively healthy.

Go Griz!

In other words, Cats underperformed in all but the SUU game against a very weak schedule, while the Griz OVER performed in all but the Sac game against the 5th hardest schedule in the country.

I'd say you hit the nail on the head.

I can remember after out bye week, we knew we had a brutal stretch coming. Lost our quarterback for 2+ games, besides the set back at Sac, we have played extremely good.

1 more game to go, it's a big one. GO GRIZ!!!!

Come Saturday, it doesn't matter who over performed or under performed during the previous games. Records go out the window. It all comes down to the performance of each team on Saturday.
