Seeing this poll just makes me think we’re the best of who’s left in the FCS. As Paula Cole said, where have all the cowboys gone?

All it takes is one quick glance at the SoCon's top teams (ETSU, Chattanooga; seriously??) ranked 10th and 11th to confirm what you're saying.

Chattanooga’s not a bad program. They have a decent history, but I agree the SoCon is not what it used to be. It doesn’t help that Wofford has been ass the last 5 years. The SoCon used to be the premiere FCS conference, but then they lost App State, and the Big South came along and stole some of their teams, and they’re lucky to be a 2 bid league now.

They also lost Marshal and Georgia Southern. Furman is definitely not what they used to be either.

Hope we don't go down the road or get sucked into the same issue in the Big Sky. I bet if we all went into a time machine and came back in ten years nothing would look like it does today, we would be like WTF!!!!!!

This just reiterates the need to get a top 2 seed if we want to make the chipper. We might be afforded one good loss and then hope the Valley chews each other up a little.

Why? What has really changed in the last ten years?

Disappointed northern iowa isn't in their usual and undeserved top 10 preseason spot.

Agree. At 21 to start the season, they most likely won't win a game all year.

Added a bunch of shitty new teams. No one good has moved up in almost 25 years.

And yet, they’ll still be in the playoff conversation at 0-11 somehow.

Ahem, Suck State? My god, I only need three years for the time machine to blow my mind after all my suffering.
