This whole NIL thing is fascinating to me. Is this something that will be treated as a non-profit and all raised funds will go to athletes, or is more of an agency where a % is taken off the top and the execs are trying to make a bunch of money off the athletes?

I'm sure it will be a Wild West type environment for a while.

Those are fair questions and I’m not completely sure. I am, however, wondering if I should start my own NIL Collective for the Griz or Big Sky. Sounds like $$ 😂

Only way I’m donating is if it’s option A.

Interesting article here: https://www.bakertilly.com/insights/the-tax-exempt-entity-nil-collectives It's early days but the tax-exempt nature of a NIL collective is a bit dubious leading some (including the author of the aforementioned article) to suggest that donors exercise caution. The most appropriate approach is to probably not expect your "donation" to ultimately be tax-deductible. All that said, I'm not a CPA but occasionally pretend to be one on the internet...
