With a nod to the Bizun, even the Philly press liked Wentz's debut last night.

Hmm I was thoroughly unimpressed. Completed 50% of his passes and most of them were short throws. Had an ugly interception. Looked a little flustered. His line didn't help him out though.

He started out his time really nice. Completed a couple passes. Then finally took his first NFL hit. He wasn't nearly as composed the rest of his time. Eventually suffered a hairline fracture to a rib.

Oh, he got hurt? Hmm . . .

100% positive you could have not withstood the hits he took and been normal.

He has a hairline fracture in his rib. Anyone taking a shot like he did would have broke something.

Alumn, kind of a weird comment don't you think? Last I checked, none of us make 30M so we aren't required to take those kinds of hits on the football field. It's not our job. It is Carson Wentz's job though.

And Chase Reynolds' spot on the 53 is very, very secure, no matter what happened in last night's game.

I watched a lot of preseason games this week. For those who feel Wentz sucked, did you see how many passes were dropped by WR's or RB's? I was impressed with how well Wentz reads defenses, compared to most rookie QB's. Granted, his interception was a terrible decision. I have a feeling that Eagles are very happy with his debut. Too bad he got injured. Goff, looked lost. Prescott looks like the heir to Romo. That guy has an "it" factor that is hard to find.

Ya around 6. The pick wasn't even bad. Had a guy and was hit while throwing it. He had a couple of passes sail on him, but other than that I thought he did fine. Wasn't staring down receivers. Identified blitzes and went through progressions.

True, but we are all human beings and most human beings, whether they are a QB in the NFL or not, would have broke a rib on that last hit.

It's a hairline fracture. QB's get them all the time. He would be playing if this was the regular season and he was a starter. To suggest he is injury prone is absolutely ridiculous.

I think Wentz did pretty good in his 1st debut, and looked very good for a rookie. Like mtgrizrule said, his receivers dropped a lot of passes that should have been caught. I have a feeling that he's going to be very good for Philadelphia.

I love it when we get multiple Griz on the same team.....makes it easier to have fewer teams to give a shit about.

Bills (Carps, Biermann, Anderson)
Seahawks (Coyle)
Jaguars (Tripp, Holmes)
Bengals (Wilson)
Rams (Reynolds, Johnson)
Titans (Roberts, Poehls?)
Bears (Mariani)
Cardinals - NOPE
Chargers - NOPE

Who am I missing?

I see Wags and Arizona settled on an injury contract. What does this mean? Does it mean Wags has been released or is he still a Cardinal?

I could be totally full of shit, but isn't Colt playing for the Bills as well?

He no longer apart of the Cardinals organization.

I agree, he looks the part of an NFL quarterback. Hopefully he heals up quickly, I'd love to see what he can do.

Isn't Danny Kistler a big part of the Raiders? I had heard he earned his way off the practice squad and is the number two O-Line man?

According to this link:
http://www.silverandblackpride.com/2016/7/5/12100082/oakland-raiders-2016-projected-final-53-man-roster-practice-squad

...he's not listed on either the 53 man or the practice squad.

He has a hairline fracture on a rib, an injury that the vast majority of QB's receive every season and continue to play with. For a QB, it is almost a given considering how often you are exposed to open shots. He is a rookie QB who is essentially redshirting this year, so there is no point in playing and making something worse. Had this been the regular season and he was a starter, this would be a non issue and he would play through it.

It isn't going to be pretty if you are an Eagles fan this year. No offensive line and your best playmaker is a middle of the road tight end. Considering the holes they have, they really had no business drafting a QB.
