With a nod to the Bizun, even the Philly press liked Wentz's debut last night.

Hmm I was thoroughly unimpressed. Completed 50% of his passes and most of them were short throws. Had an ugly interception. Looked a little flustered. His line didn't help him out though.

He started out his time really nice. Completed a couple passes. Then finally took his first NFL hit. He wasn't nearly as composed the rest of his time. Eventually suffered a hairline fracture to a rib.

Oh, he got hurt? Hmm . . .

Ya around 6. The pick wasn't even bad. Had a guy and was hit while throwing it. He had a couple of passes sail on him, but other than that I thought he did fine. Wasn't staring down receivers. Identified blitzes and went through progressions.

Isn't Danny Kistler a big part of the Raiders? I had heard he earned his way off the practice squad and is the number two O-Line man?

He has a hairline fracture on a rib, an injury that the vast majority of QB's receive every season and continue to play with. For a QB, it is almost a given considering how often you are exposed to open shots. He is a rookie QB who is essentially redshirting this year, so there is no point in playing and making something worse. Had this been the regular season and he was a starter, this would be a non issue and he would play through it.

It isn't going to be pretty if you are an Eagles fan this year. No offensive line and your best playmaker is a middle of the road tight end. Considering the holes they have, they really had no business drafting a QB.
