Griz @ NAU Predictions

If the offense remains sluggish this will be a tougher game than most predict. The gris SHOULD roll…. But flagstaff is a tough place to play. If they sneak by NAU it’ll still leave everyone still wondering where this team is at. If it was a home game I could see: 38-10 score, I just don’t see your offense being able to hit the 50’s this season. So since it’s an away game I think 24-14 is more reasonable.

Who knows maybe the gris turn it on and whoop NAU 45-7… it’s college football. Maybe NAU decides it’s time to play ball and they come out and win 21-17.

Sure I’m a Cats fan, but from my perspective, outside of Bergen, I don’t know who the Gris can rely on to pull away in this one unless they can account for defensive and special teams touchdowns. Which is a real possibility.

Special teams alone should win the game. That is how bad NAU is. The team is likely deflated with low morale right now and they know their coach will get the boot by year end. Griz D should shut them down. Hope the game is 50-0 and that the 2’s and 3’s get a lot of time. Prediction is 45-3

I thought the same thing last year… must’ve been the homecoming energy. I hope y’all crush them. Good for the BSC.

Griz play well:
Good guys 42- Jacks 14
Griz are sluggish:
27-Jacks 17
Go Griz!
I see Vidlack with over 225 yards passing and run game with over 175 yards with Griz playing well. Jr. has 6+ catches and 50+ return yards too.
Griz play sluggishly, Vidlack under 150 yards passing and run game around 100 yards. Jr. Still has 50+ return yards.
Go Griz!

50 to zip griz. NAU is absolutely terrible. If the griz struggle with NAU, you guys are in deep ***.

Like MSU struggled with them last year, when they were also terrible? Seems to me the season still turned out alright for MSU. You’re just setting it up for yourself to say, “see I told you the Griz were sh*t, they struggled against a bad NAU.” Even though your team also struggled with both a bad NAU and a bad EWU last season

I’m gonna call this their statement game. We are here to play, the season is on, and we are gonna kick your a**. I’m thinking 56-7 Griz with second and third string in by 4th Quarter. And I hope, hope, 250+ passing with 150-175 rushing. Vidlak as starter.

No, that's not it actually. I didn't put a lot of thought into that prediction but my true thought is that you'll beat them by 50 ish. Maybe like 53 to 6 or something. I'm guessing they'll get some points when griz have their 3rd stringers in. Also, NAU is way worse this year than last. That Utah tech team that the Cats and griz absolutely destroyed....... absolutely destroyed NAU, in Flagstaff.

If you go back and watch that game though, NAU had 5 turnovers. Two of those were back breakers; a pick six and a scoop and score the very next series. They play well and this game could be close. And you’re doing it again, by saying, “NAU is way worse this year than last,” you’re just downplaying Griz opponents again to fit your narrative. Are they good, no. But do I expect them to be competitive, yes I absolutely could see it happening. They were a 3 win team last year, and still took you guys down to the wire. They have a new QB that’s a former four star. An all OVC transfer running back that’s solid. I could go on. They have talent, but have not put it together.

No prediction for me either, but the Griz are unbeaten when I attend games. I will be there.

Really? Based on what? They were pretty awful last year, too.

I just watched the Ferris State game last night. I think Vidlak has some talent and skill. The coaches and player just need some in game experience to gain some trust. They have to let him loose some time and I would like to see it. NAU would probably be a good time to do it. We have some tough games coming up and it is probably better to test him now and hopefully get him some comfort and confidence before those games. Not saying NAU is a cupcake. Maybe they are. I don’t expect them to turn it over 5 times again so the Utah Tech game maybe isn’t a good measuring stick. In any case, if we are going to be near the top of conference we have to be able to beat NAU without too much difficulty. Let the kid throw. I would say double his attempts from the Ferris State game. Let the cards fall where they may.

Also Gillman is really good. I think Ostmo and Harris are good too. They can take some pressure off the QB. Our defense is pretty dang good too. Take a risk throw it 30 times. I think he will complete 60+% for at least 250 yards if we do.
