Griz/NAU game thread

At some pnt Tinks is gonna have to let these guys start running and gunning, cause we dont have the players or bodies to play a half court game with anyone??
 
Griz looked a littel lost offensively early part of first half. Some of those fouls called on us were pretty ticky tack. WIll clearly is needing more conditioning. We also look pretty soft defensively---especially inside among the bigs. All in all hanging in there though.

NAU-TV ain't bad---wished we had the equivalent...

Everthing you said Everett :thumb: Gregory working hard and having nice game. Cherry kinda out of sink, but expected. Nice looking 3's by Cherry though? Jamar needs to get it going?? No minutes for Weisner?? He just had a hell of a game, why no minutes???
 
I think it's strange not to have seen Wise as well. Maybe he's not feelilng well, or something??

Gregory has played well today.
 
Nice finish at end of half getting those FT''s. Maybe a fortunate timing call, but we'll take it. Why was Kareem so sloppy in his ball handling doing that over and back---just inexecusable. And when will we ever learn to put a hand and more on that Gabe Rogers---I have nightmares from all the 3's that dude has dumped on us.

NAU-TV picks up ALL the background chatter--you hear all the peanut gallery comments :lol: Can't complain though getting a great feed and excellent quality.

If the Griz can get tougher on "D", take care of the ball, and be more assertive on the interior by the bigs on "O", we got a chance. Being down 33-29 isn't awful given how we played...
 
Kinda hard to make any ground when 5 out of 6 trips down the floor are turnovers towards the end of the half. Yikes.
 
Frustrating game to watch.

Nice crowd. Wouldn't it be more economical to play this game at a local elementary school?

That's kinda what they have been doing the last few years and it was embarrassing. Glad they are back in the skydome despite the crappy crowd.

Love their announcer. One of the best that we get to hear every year.

He is a great announcer! The most entertaining part of this game.
 
Keeping it close despite some poor passes and zero "O" from the post. NAU announcer described Will as covering the court like " a warm cozy blanket on a cold Flathead Valley winter morning"...folksy as all get out :P

Need to get better shots and more disciplined "O" and neutralize Rogers to be able to get a "W"...
