Our job as parents, and as the 12th man, is to be there with steadfast support, to enjoy the good and interesting moments, to guide, support, forgive, occasionally adjust our expectations and play with the hand we are dealt - not criticize and threaten abandonment. If we raise our kids expecting perfection, we will be disappointed, they will feel unappreciated for their efforts and we will miss all of the good stuff - same with football. Appreciate the efforts of the team and coaches - they are working hard and trying to win. Enjoy the great moments of the game experience.

Well said. I've had the very same thought the past few weeks. I have watched every moment of every game this season, and will continue to watch and support my team.GGNez said:I completely agree, B-Dub...and keep saying that football is a metaphor for life. have a reason to be optimistic about "the game". Pretty much all the same crowd

WTF??? Are you a former cat player that got his bell rung by the Griz last year...maybe Dan Moore ran you over I bet. A one game season, there are three games remaining pops and the Griz just played in eight competitive games so that would be an 11 game season. If by chance you are still a student at MSU I recommend you go sign up for a tutor but I bet you never made it to colllege, and if you did they must accept anyone in Bozeman.

Come on Catdaddy7 you should know better............UM Will always be the best team in the big sky......remember they won a national championship 11 years ago ..........catdaddy7 said:1Griz_Fan said:catdaddy7 said:It sucks having a one game season doesn't it. Being ranked so highly, You truly

I am truly sorry. The griz are by far the class of the Big Sky (note their record). I totally spoke out
of turn and feel totally embarassed.

What exactly is it you dumbasses are looking for? Should I go over to BCN and make sure people aren't patting themselves on the back too much for your 6-1 season, or that we get some validation when we return to fielding a competent team? No because it's a rival's board and that would be f#$king stupidBobby's knows said:Come on Catdaddy7 you should know better............UM Will always be the best team in the big sky......remember they won a national championship 11 years ago ..........![]()

Have to beat the Cats! I will have my son and daughter in-law with me for this game. She has never been to a Griz game in Missoula. She and her family are huge Bobcats fans and I couldn't bare the shame of losing to the cats, especially this year. I want her to see the spirit of true football fans, that is Griz fans as you all know. I want the stadium to be electric with proud Griz fans!
Go Griz!!

My "support" might be a little different than how others do it, but it will remain constant!
I F'n love this team!!!
lol. Who pissed in your cornflakes? Busting out "colllege" grammar smack? Lame smack bro. Don't you have a bandwagon to fall off of? If you didn't catch it, catdaddy was trying point out that Cat fans are painfully aware of having only one game to play for. I graduated from MSU and have been ran over by larger humans than myself and I STILL understood what he was trying to say. I have some extra Cat gear you can have when you switch teams next week :thumb:1Griz_Fan said:catdaddy7 said:It sucks having a one game season doesn't it. Being ranked so highly, You truly

True - the Griz program has been SO fortunate. Ever wonder why everyone seemingly hates Griz fans? Same reason they hate the Lakers, Yankees and other highly successful programs. Completely weird to not be looking up at the Griz in the standings at this time of year. At least Griz fans get to have Thanksgiving at home for once....enjoy it because I think this will be the only time for a whilecclarkblues said:catdaddy7 said:It sucks having a one game season doesn't it. Thankfully it doesn't happen very damn often.

Geez Grizo, you're just a young punk. Do your name and the word "jailbait" crop up much in the same sentence?
True. Success breeds success. The Griz won't be down long though.....won't have too much time to lose fans. Way too much talent on the roster.PeauxRouge said:You can dismiss fair weather fans all you want, but that's what builds a fan base. Some stick around for good. Some don't. They still make noise when they show up and add to the atmosphere. They will be back when the winning continues. However, now maybe they can buy tickets for the basketball games. That would be nice and the team deserves it.
Hmmm....interesting thoughts, and I agree on some level. I don't think fair weather fans should be "dismissed" so much as helped and guided, like a stray dog who needs some house-breaking and socializing. It's good to have a full stadium of enthusiastic fans - I just feel sorry for the ones who are missing so much of the good stuff by aggressively focusing on and assigning exaggerated importance to the negatives.PeauxRouge said:You can dismiss fair weather fans all you want, but that's what builds a fan base.
