I completely agree, B-Dub...and keep saying that football is a metaphor for life. Being a fan is a metaphor for parenting. Sometimes there are tough years. Occasionally our kids make bad choices, fail at something when we had hoped they would succeed. Our job as parents, and as the 12th man, is to be there with steadfast support, to enjoy the good and interesting moments, to guide, support, forgive, occasionally adjust our expectations and play with the hand we are dealt - not criticize and threaten abandonment. If we raise our kids expecting perfection, we will be disappointed, they will feel unappreciated for their efforts and we will miss all of the good stuff - same with football. Appreciate the efforts of the team and coaches - they are working hard and trying to win. Enjoy the great moments of the game experience.

Well said. I've had the very same thought the past few weeks. I have watched every moment of every game this season, and will continue to watch and support my team.

I'm starting to wonder if now is a good time to get on the waiting list for season tickets.

Have to beat the Cats! I will have my son and daughter in-law with me for this game. She has never been to a Griz game in Missoula. She and her family are huge Bobcats fans and I couldn't bare the shame of losing to the cats, especially this year. I want her to see the spirit of true football fans, that is Griz fans as you all know. I want the stadium to be electric with proud Griz fans!

True - the Griz program has been SO fortunate. Ever wonder why everyone seemingly hates Griz fans? Same reason they hate the Lakers, Yankees and other highly successful programs. Completely weird to not be looking up at the Griz in the standings at this time of year. At least Griz fans get to have Thanksgiving at home for once....enjoy it because I think this will be the only time for a while

Hmmm....interesting thoughts, and I agree on some level. I don't think fair weather fans should be "dismissed" so much as helped and guided, like a stray dog who needs some house-breaking and socializing. It's good to have a full stadium of enthusiastic fans - I just feel sorry for the ones who are missing so much of the good stuff by aggressively focusing on and assigning exaggerated importance to the negatives.
