Scard'ya didn't I. Greg Spurgetis, a walk-on has transfered to get more playing time.

Notes

• The Northwest men's basketball team has signed four players to letters of intent: guard Greg Spurgetis, a transfer from Montana; guards Blake Solomon and Daley Landon, both of Big Bend CC in Moses Lake; and forward Jason Waltman from Monroe High School

Good for Greg. He is going to go where he can help a team, and not sit there hoping for a few meaningless minutes. Good kid who everyone wants to see succeed.

Agreed. I was hoping he wouldn't take off but makes sense for him. The kid has a great shot.

Msla Cat.......So does that open up an additional Schollie??..and room for another roundballer?? Any potential recruits under your belt to replace Greg?? When John Hancock....(Msla Cat) speaks, The Griz Listen.....

he was a walk on no scholarship. Greg is a good talent that's looking to be coached up and he will be receiving money for school from his desination. Is Hurley still on the roster?

Does anyone know if CET is still with the team? I've heard some things floating around...

What happened to Charlie Cox who transfered from Western?

He played this past season at Basin City Community College in Tri-Cities, Wash. Now he is living in Las Vegas, no longer playing basketball.

Columbia Basin C.C. and that's interesting. He's should come back and play at one of the Frontier schools again. What is he doing down in Vegas other than not playing hoops?

Cox and Sammie Riddle aren't playing on some city-league team together even? Isn't Riddle in Vegas too? It's ironic that 2 Hellgate Point guards with huge egos that couldn't cut it for the Griz, and ended up at Western, then move to Vegas. Is Cox a lounge act too?

Riddle was in Missoula this week in a game against former AND1 players. They could not stop him. Matt Dlouhy also played and played very well. It was very apparent in the game that he was the type of player that the Griz missed this year. He was soaring to the rim plus hitting deep, deep threes.

Zach Graves also played. It is beyond me why he did not get minutes this year. He is very athletic and played above the rim much of the game despite his height.
