Thank you for your non bias opinion. I think you are spot on. I was pleasantly surprised by his speed in taking on receivers and RBs in coverage. Has good ability to cover and break up pass plays.

It was really hard not to put him in my Top 10. I thought Tanner Wilson had a higher ceiling because he has a littler more speed, Trevor Hoerner is 6'4" with more upside, and I said at the beginning of the process I would not drop Luke out of the Top 10 (and his senior season was remarkable knowing that he friggin' beat cancer in the offseason). Lance McCutcheon proved to be a difference maker at receiver or corner and has great length. Then you get into my Top 6 which includes ridiculous talent.
I see Marcus as a Josh Hill-type of recruit. He isn't going to dazzle anyone on paper but he has really good tape and may just turn out to be an All-Big Sky player multiple times by the end of his career.

a question vim....this years montana class seems to be deep and talented,,,,,,,is that so ?....reason I ask is the hanser kid out of billings central is not chopped liver and gets very little mention, even though he has the frame, strength and pedigree......is he more of a frontier guy? I would like to see him as a griz myself....he is darn tough kid....

At the beginning of the year, I said this Montana class would be deep at LB and S prospects that can play at the FCS level. If you look at the Top 20 and the kids that have committed so far, that matches up. Peyton is one of those kids. Cats/Griz want him but I'm assuming it depends on the offer at this point. Speculation here but might try to walk-on at Washington State to be with his brother Dylan. Or he goes Frontier.

Peyton Hanser is a very good prospect. Unfortunately he broke a hand in the first Dillon game (week 2). He continued to play that game but consequently lost a big chunk of his senior season as a result. It took the next month to heal enough to get back on the field. I believe this lost playing time is one reason he has been seemingly overlooked so far.
The kid can still add a lot of weight to his frame and will be a force wherever he ends up. I'd like to see him be a Grizzly.

Hanser just committed to MSU
