Griz/ kitten Game week smack talk thread

I would like a poll to see how many posters have actually played football for the Griz.
I played for the Griz in the 60’s. Then coached football for 30 years.
I am pushing 80 years old and want the Griz to win another title, probably more than most (many) of you.
I have been a season ticket holder for over 50 years and have been becoming ashamed of some of Griz Nation.
I was a Missoula Diplomat in the 80’s helping to build businesses in Missoula.

There are so many fans that did not even go to school at U of M that badmouth the program when games go wrong, it makes me sick.

I do not post very often and I may be on the early signs of dementia, but gosh we have a lot of fair weather fans.
Last month it there was a call for Rosenbach and Germer to be fired.

Bobby is not the best with the press but he is a good coach. If he was not there would certainly be no Montana recruits that would play for him.

If the Griz lose this weekend and do not make the playoffs I would like Coach to explain where he is going to make adjustments.

I think/believe this is the year. We lose a lot next year. and if we do not make it to Frisco this year we will have to wait until at least the 2024 campaign with the Chipper at the beginning of 2025.

I drink Heineken all the time and my friends East of the divide told me that Heineken is the beer of choice at the stadium in Frisco.

Also a lot of you are whiny bitches. If any of my granddaughters wants to marry someone who posts frequently on eGriz I hope I am dead.

I may not be as cool as Griz Granny, but at least I am not as arrogant as PR/MT Hoops. (Though I did go to Grad School with some boys from Dartmouth. I graduated with distinguished honors, they did not.)

That is actually pretty funny. Regardless the spoon, I have a feeling they are going to meet a hammer or two tomorrow. Griz LB’s are going to be ready for the run game. Big boys up front will do their job. Defense is going to win this game. Can’t wait for the crowd to become silent.

GameDay went for the small town western look. Sitting in a small pasture. Maybe 250 showed up. Dinky bleacher stadium. Can see the mountains barely out in the distance. The sunrise does look nice though. Amazing the difference between Bozeman's non-existent game day experience compared to Missoula's which rivals a P5 atmosphere.

And that's why Game Day went to Bozeman. They wanted something different than the typical big time school atmosphere Missoula offers. They wanted something more podunk. Bozeman delivered.

I Don’t care. You can be concerned about sportsmanship and sensitivity. I hate the Cats, like true, actual real world hatred for that team, anyone who plays for them or goes to that school or lives in that town.

Rosenbach’s offense sucks, the bright spot in this pathetic abortion of a game is… there are no bright spots.

Yes, yes there is a bright spot, this game is not on regular ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU, so at least UM isn’t getting absolutely humiliated on national TV.

It’s time to start recruiting heavily outside of the state and use the deep pocketed boosters to to kick in real NIL money and start brining the hardware home.

TCU just won so while UM is getting boned like a jailhouse boyfriend at least my other team won.
