It’s been a while since I posted…
My last post talking about giving elbow sneezers a hard time didn’t age well. Not too long after that post, the covid came to town and people that didn’t protect their sneezes became a problem. My Governor in Michigan started putting people with the covid in retirement homes. That also didn’t age well...
It won’t be long and I’ll be in one of those storage buildings for old people. Hope there’s a new Governor by then.
Timmy was in Missoula for homecoming and he said Monte has disappeared from the game-day experience. He said Monte came out and pointed at the crowd a couple of times then tried to do a black flip…landed on his/her back got up and ran off like they had an anxiety attack and was never seen again.
He also said if there was a replay on a turnover or penalty if it was shown once on the jumbo screen, the fans were lucky.
When I watch a game on television they show the replay multiple times and from every angle. I know we probably don’t have all the angles but our fans can take it…it’s a smart crowd. Fans inside the stadium would like to see it.
I was watching a big 10 game and when they had a replay that the home team crowd wanted to go their way. They played “let it be” while the referee is reviewing it. That's fun…get it together Monte and Griz stadium. Do fun things unique to our stadium.
I posted last time the idea of not booing the visitor team when they run in ( they probably like that) but standing and pointing in silence as they enter. Then go crazy loud when the good guys run in. Again unique to our stadium.
I also heard a rumor that they would like to eliminate tailgating and not let people out at halftime. Hope that is just a bad rumor. They would ruin one of the best game day experiences. Probably true. They’ve always hated having fans miss a few minutes of the 3rd quarter and want them to buy their beer and food. Greedy bastards.
Timmy said the good cat running back was limping after last week's game. I said anyone that pronounces their name I-fancy will be playing.
Looking forward to our lineman on Saturday hoisting the heaviest game trophy in history on their shoulders. You never see kickers or receivers picking it up.
It’s one of the few times a big lineman is on display in a celebration…good for them.
Hope you didn’t sell your tickets…going to be a fun afternoon.
I can’t wait

As always I’ll be watching and toasting the lads with my Manhattans.
