Brown Anderson. 2 minutes. Whatever.
PR- I appreciate your write up and largely agree. But, Brown did not play (I was there and would have noticed :thumb: ) If there is a box score out there that shows him playing, it is incorrect.

I know who played. I was there. It was the Bozeman kid. I typed Brown's name instead of Anderson's. Similar name to me (plain Anglo names, even though also used by black guys) , especially for 2 minutes. That's why I said Brown Anderson in my above post. But thanks for the info. Obviously, it was a critical mistake on my part. That's why I corrected my OP last night. Look at the OP, and look at the time.

This about sums things up!

"The Bozeman kid" is not "Brown Anderson" but "Mack Anderson"...and he's white....and there are other white people named "Anderson"....and some black people also "use" the name "Anderson". There are white people named "Mack" too and this name is "also used by black guys". Many black people have more than one name but they often "use" plain Anglo names, similar to PR's name.

So there you go!

I didn't call the Bozeman kid Brown Anderson. I said "Brown Anderson 2 minutes whatever". Do you understand what the word "whatever" means? Like I said, Anderson Brown was obviously a critical mistake. It obviously changed the whole course of the summary of the game, and was very confusing to some people with apparently simple minds.

I know Anderson is white, but I also know the Brown is black. Get it? That's why I said what I said.

PR you are your own worst enemy. You frequently provide good info regarding Griz sports. However, you all too frequently have to resort to insults (e.g. refering to posters with simple minds) as soon as someone disagrees with you or even has only a slightly different take on a subject. Think about that.

Yup, I know I'm one of the most informed and reliable posters on egriz, especially on the football side. I know that a huge number of readers enjoy most of what I post, and know that most of my info is accurate and straight from various horse's mouths, and know. Here's an example of a recent PM I received. I get a lot of this type of feedback. "On a side note, I've enjoyed your posts for years, keep up the great work!" I don't know who this poster is, by the way.

There seem to be a huge number of readers and others who mainly want to learn what is going on with Griz athletics, and would much rather get information from the 15 or so posters who know what they're talking about, as opposed to the posters who just like to spew opinions and silly things.

It has nothing to do with disagreeing with me. I couldn't care less whether someone disagrees with me. I am confident in what I say. It's the people who pick at me unnecessarily, and others, or who I think are dicks, or talk that they know something about the game but clearly don't, that I call out. I sometimes enjoy sparring with a half dozen or dozen posters at a time, because I know I can fend off all of them.

The "insults", as you call them, are sometimes used because I'm unable to punch certain posters in the nose over the internet. Have you never noticed the dozen or so posters that like to pick at me, even though it often shows how stupid they are?

I hope you don't think that I don't know what I'm doing and don't think that I'm not doing this intentionally. And, on the football side, I really can spot some of the people who never played the game.

I find it interesting to see what seems to rub certain people the wrong way on the internet.

A bit touchy, aren't we? 8-)

Not touchy at all. Just surprised that a poster like you apparently can't read very well, and doesn't bother to do his homework before making a post like that. Did you go back to look at my OP, and see that I edited last night, well before your post today? When I named Anderson in the above post, did you not think I knew who the 2-minute player was. No one else had mentioned Anderson.
I learned long ago that reading your posts once is more than enough. :thumb:

Only PR could compound a simple senior-moment/name-confusion by adding a borderline racist comment upon rebuttal. Class act,PR...and of course, you're not touchy at all. lol

From Wikipedia:

"Brown is an English-language surname in origin chiefly descriptive of a person with brown hair, complexion or clothing. It is one of the most common surnames in English-speaking countries. It is the second most common surname in Canada and Scotland, third most common in Australia and United Kingdom[2] and fourth most common in England and the United States.[1] It is particularly clustered in southern Scotland."

"Anderson is a surname deriving from a patronymic meaning "son of Anders/Andrew" (itself derived from the Greek name "Andreas", meaning "man" or "manly"). It originated in parallel in the British Isles and the Nordic countries."

"Anderson is the eighth most frequent surname in Scotland and 52nd most common in England.[1] In Sweden, the form Andersson is the most common surname.[2] In Norway and Denmark, the form Andersen is quite common, being the fifth most common surname in both countries[3][4] - see Andersen."

Yup, works almost every time. Someone gets rubbed the wrong or comments. It's also interesting how the vast majority don't say anything at all. And at least some of them, enjoy the posts/information.

I wonder how many posters don't like the board being mucked up by videos and irrelevant photos, or by non-substantive posters who just like to say things they think are funny. I enjoy CDA"s posts, though, as they are often super clever.
