Griz Football Product

They aren't top 3 teams or deep in the playoffs either. Penn St fired its coach. Not a valid comparison.
The point is there are teams with over 90,000 per game attendance without names on the back of jerseys, so you can still have plenty of fans without the names on jerseys.

Because I know the game of football, say ISU, and know the Griz. No, the Griz are fine in the trenches. You never played football and don't understand football or the trenches.
Looking at the stats of the championship game and the Cat Griz semifinal game. It looks like the Cats were lucky to beat ISU and the Griz would have lost to them. MSU beat ISU in overtime and beat the Griz by 25 points.

A knowledgeable person doesn't judge games of different teams by looking at stats of other games like like that. You are clueless about football.

UM beats Dakota and MV teams. Beat 4 MV teams this season. Has beaten SDSU and NDSU in the playoffs the last times they played them. You are wrong on virtually everything you say. You think changing the music is the key to success. You are a joke. Almost all of egriz know that now.

Problem is that I work with lawyers almost daily, I know what you’re doing here. You are cherry-picking one thing I said (gameday music) and taking it out of context to try and form a narrative. That was merely an example of us resting on our laurels and assuming that we are immune from further decline.

You are scared to address my actual argument, because you will lose. I promise, you can still carry Bob and Tim’s fishing gear even if he isn’t coach anymore.

You said nothing else except game-day music. And saying game-day music was just plain stupid. You have the narrative, not me, and your narrative and you don't understand football or Griz football and are stupid. Game-day music is resting on our laurels? How dumb are you? That ranks up there with some of the dumbest comments ever made on egriz.

Sorry, but I like the names on the unis.
I like the standard uniform without names on the back for all the games with the only game to game change being the addition of the outline of Montana on the helmets for the Cat Griz game. That is just my opinion.

Good lord, this feels like elder abuse. I said that we stopped trying to innovate and get better. We just want to live off history that happened 25 years ago. That is the reason we fell behind MSU and are going to pay for it for years to come.

Since Kent is vision less, he won’t force the needed change and needs to go. Take a chance and set yourself up for success or spin your wheels forever. Strive for excellence like we used to. If not we will face further decline in not just athletics, but also enrollment.

But I digress. Please continue to wow us with how you went to a mid-week regular season NBA game.

My college stats are not being the cause for NCAA action against my university. I can’t say the same for JD Quinn with the Big Red Sports scandal.
Oklahoma and Stoops just let Quinn/Bomar go to save themselves and the main culprit Adrian Peterson. AP driving a Lexus from the car dealership for a 6 or 8 weeks, is what caused someone to report the issue. Almost everyone on the two-deep worked at the dealerships or were able to borrow fancy cars for the weekend. I know one heck of alot more about the situation than you or anyone else on egriz does. Quinn became my good friend. I have talked to him multiple times about what happened. OK got to keep AP and everyone else, and lost 2 schollies for 2 years. No big deal.

Do you know how Quinn got to UM? Assumed you didn't.

I don’t know about Adrian Peterson but I do know the practice of working at the dealership for less than reported was a fairly common practice and that the dealership changing ownership and the new owner discovering this practice is what led to it falling down.

No, that is not what happened. That is not what started the NCAA inquiry. The new owners didn't discover the practice. In fact, they said publicly that they had now records from before they bought the dealership. Some later owners eventually went to prison for multiple years for fraud, on something unrelated.

I believe an anonymous email was sent regarding AP driving this car, which was from Big Red or a 2d dealership. Aborted purchase?

See below. There was no purchase. The other dealership let him drives the Lexus for a long time, and someone reported it.

"In the preliminary report to the NCAA, OU wrote the investigation began last February. Although the remainder of the sentence was redacted, it was then that the compliance department reviewed the aborted purchase of a used, late-model Lexus by star running back Adrian Peterson. The school determined no rules violation had occurred."

"In April, Oklahoma cleared standout running back Adrian Peterson, who purchased a vehicle from the dealership before securing financing, drove it for several weeks and then returned the car. Oklahoma investigated the situation, but ruled Peterson did not violate rules because the dealership said it was normal business practice."

Yes, the dealership let top players drive their cars for free.

Oklahoma said in its statement to the NCAA that the scheme would have not been uncovered without the cooperation of the dealership’s management and ownership after David Hudiburg purchased the dealership in April 2006.

As I said, it was an anonymous email that started the inquiry.

"A report released by OU Tuesday indicates the university began an investigation as early as March 2006 into former Sooner football players Rhett Bomar and J.D. Quinn and their work at a local car dealership. According to the report, the NCAA and OU President David L. Boren were sent an anonymous e-mail on March 3, 2006 that stated Bomar and Quinn were being paid for work they didnt do at Big Red Sports and Imports."

"Last winter, OU officials investigated the employment of football players at Big Red Sports and Imports while focusing on tailback Adrian Peterson’s intended purchase of - and use of - a used, late-model Lexus. In each case, no NCAA rules violations were discovered."

The dealership was sold AFTER the inquiry started.
Once again, you are wrong.

The general manager had told the players they would be paid for time not worked. He got fired over this.

"McRae, the former Big Red general manager, confirmed Bomar and Quinn had been employed at the dealership, though he said he wasn’t sure when they started. They were among as many as 20 to 25 OU football players involved in the last four years to wash and detail cars and to run errands.

“They work,” McRae said in an interview last April. “It wasn’t no great conspiracy where you come in and clock in and not work, or whatever.”

OU sources said in April and reaffirmed Wednesday that the initial investigation did not reveal NCAA rules violations. McRae, who was fired last winter for reasons he said were unrelated to the initial investigation, said Wednesday he “didn’t do anything wrong” and said he was unaware of any wrongdoing by Bomar and Quinn or any other football players."

When the records were looked at, Bomar and Quinn had been paid the most, so the finger was pointed at them and they were sacrificed and kicked off the team. All the players working at the dealership were getting paid for time not worked.

Once again, you don't know what you are talking about and your googling is not correct. I know exactly what happend because I've talked to Quinn about it multiple times.

What makes you think the Griz would have won in Nashville? ISU was a lot bigger and stronger in the trenches.
Well you see sir, the team that got very lucky and beat the griz twice, the second time by nearly four touchdowns; ALSO got really lucky winning the national championship. So it’s only really good sense to assume if the griz had beaten the team they lost to twice, they most certainly would have beaten the team that couldn’t beat the team you lost to twice.

I hope that helps. I really think after all these years I’m starting to grasp the logic.

Problem is we have leadership that sees 19k season tickets sold as a reason to keep the status quo.

Rather than seeing 19k season tickets and being like “holy shit, we gotta take this to the next level.”

We haven’t won a championship since 2001 yet we still consistently sell 19k season tickets to watch central washington, sacred heart, Indiana state, and cal poly BUT 26k is the ceiling?? And the only way to grow revenue is to squeeze every cent possible out of that? Bullshit.

Such a pathetic mindset.

MSU washed out the Griz offensive and defensive front and ISU would have as well. If you can’t see that you are clueless about football.
