GRIZ Football God Father, Don Read...

What a gentleman he was. Papa Bear. He will always be fondly remembered by Griz Nation as a great coach and an even better individual. God Bless him and his family.
 
That hurts. He was the coach when I was a little boy and fell in love with Griz football. I was sure he was the greatest coach of all time. I kept waiting for him to get some great job in the future. I just assumed he would be a surprise hire for an NFL team or something and become world famous.

We were lucky to have him as a coach. I hope his family is alright tonight.
 
RIP coach, thank you for all you did for GRIZ Nation, now let’s go win it for the skipper
