Very very interesting. A UM grad and former Griz LB. Has had a lot of stops at various levels. Wonder how much truth there is to this. Football scoop is usually on it.

Sounding a lot like the SDSU guy fell through. Possibly with their DC leaving they decided to promote him up the ladder and was a deal killer.

Ah good point. I thought DC right away but you're right he may be coming in as a LB coach. May be possibility he is brought in as a D Line coach as he has lots of experience there too

Have you heard more than just this as evidence that Arnett wont be coming? Rocky Long stated recently he thought he could lose several more staff members and likely wouldnt know who was going or staying until after the coaches convention next week. Not saying you are wrong just wondering if there is other info you have heard.

Definitely the good old boys club. I like the hires but now he needs to fill out the staff with some youth. Having a couple young energetic guys is a good thing for energy level and relating to young adults. Also can help with recruiting.

Personally I’d like to see Ferriter and Semore brought back as position coaches. Both are great recruiters and players love them. They would mix in well with this wealth of experience Hauck is bringing in.

Montana: Brent Pease is joining the staff as an offensive assistant. We reported the addition of Barry Sacks to the staff last night. Skyline Sports notes that former UNLV defensive coordinator Kent Baer is a candidate for the defensive coordinator role at Montana.

I didn't know much about Baer until the recent talk of his emerging as DC. What can you tell us or what makes you feel that way? Seems to have plenty of experience
