Griz FB Practice Takes Week #2

The question is what was your prediction after 2 days of fall camp? Hum, don't see any from you or how about the Sideline Lackeys pod-they certainly didn't have it right? Or maybe BWahlberg did he have it ? Nope, not one of you who think you are so smart. It gives me great pleasure to rub it into all of you who don't like me because you forgot one thing- I have the credentials. ;)
Plenty of people knew and said that KAY was running with the ones from the very start. As Brint mentioned, though, there is the expectation not to talk about depth publicly based around what you see at practice. Just because you were more willing than others to discuss it publicly doesn't mean that you were the first one that called it correctly. And try not to hurt your shoulder patting yourself on the back.

There is a difference between running with #1 and being #1 just to help you in case it's beyond your comprehension (check out that spelling :ROFLMAO:). Jensen was running with the number two's and Flowers with the three's. That has been switched. Maybe you should get with Brint and discuss this privately beings you are so concerned.

Yes. This has all been known since before you posted it. Rob even said as much on his podcast. I've never seen more arrogant stupidity in my life.

Guess I'm catching a stray here. I did have earlier posts on Flowers this spring and summer too.

And keeping an eye on Flowers, who quietly had what I thought was a good spring camp.

QB: Jensen OR Ah Yat / Flowers

QB - has been discussed a lot, Jensen is the leader in the clubhouse right now. Ah Yat was in front of him up until a hammy pull. Lots to watch this portal season / summer to see how Jensen further fits in with these WRs, if Ah Yat snaps back into his role now that he's on the mend, if another transfer comes in, and if Flowers can find more of those insane highs and wash out the lows.

Defense is *almost* always ahead of the offense at this point in fall camp. If it isn't, then that would indicate the defense is either really bad or the offense is really, really good or both.
Well the defense knows what the offense is running. . .so there is that. :)
As well, the defense will always be encouraged to be aggressive. However, if the offense fights back they may get reprimanded. Practice leans in favor of the defense, generally. The defense gains confidence and the offense gets tough or else. :)

This is odds on the earliest we've seen #brintsreciepts come to life in a season, and I like it!

Brint, has Brooks Davis moved up the chart? It seems there's a lot of hype about him. What's your feel on the receivers? Just wondering. Seems like lots of talent all around.

I am a Brooks Davis truther.

Kid has had a monster camp and I think barring any setbacks into next week he should be starting for the CWU game.
Thanks, I heard his route running is precise, has good speed and has soft hands. Just wondering. It's always interesting when you basically start the WR depth chart over again and to see who steps up.

I stopped by camp today for a short bit. Brooks Davis ran with the 1s exclusively, but hes been doing so for a bit now. Hes got the combination of a ton of juice, great hands, runs aggressive routes, emotional leader and great attitude etc., so I totally agree with Brint. The receivers as a whole are going to be fun. Deck has juice, MW, Bohannon as mentioned, Bridges etc. Etc.

I saw some great things out of the defense again today, some explosive plays offensively (deck, Davis, Gilman), ah yat continues to impress as well, even though hes facing pretty good heat. The defense is putting a ton of pressure on him, as designed I assume by the practice plan.

Oline is coming along. Still room for growth and improvement for sure but the guys they are working in through the 1s are building.

I moved my original post to the top. Maybe you should study it and then relisten to Rob. Stop back and let me know if you can figure it out or if I need to explain it closer.
