We sat down with Bobby for about 40 minutes this morning and had a great time talking on a whole bunch of topics.

1. The spring games and how they came together. Some quick thoughts on how they're preparing for them and Bobby's perspective on the spring season.

2. Quarterback Club. Goals, benefits, where it helps, how to sign up.

3. Fan questions. Two questions from some loyal fans of Bobby and the team

4. Bobby's background. We talk a bit about his path to coaching, some history on the team and his family, and a handful of other fun topics.

It's much shorter than most of our pods (you're welcome) and I think it's pretty damn entertaining. Hope you guys can take a listen.

Happy to take a listen! I like when you said it’s a little bit shorter. I’m guessing Bobby told you guys right off the bat this better be short and sweet!

Haha - we actually didn't know how much time we had, but it wound up being a good/fun chat. He didn't give us a timeframe actually and made it an interesting talk.

40 minutes?? You guys can't get drunk in 40 minutes! What kind of a pod is that??

It was 10am and yet Bobby teased us right away bc he was told we were bringing beer, haha.

Where is the bullet point summary?

For the info you'll have to listen!

- Some quick/general thoughts on the spring. How he set up spring games. How they're approaching them.

- We try to get him to talk about future facilities/improvements in general but he's focused on how QB Club is helping with equipment and nutrition but said future facility needs QB Club is at the forefront

- We talk about how QB club works, how people outside of Missoula can join and take part in all events too.

- He answers two questions from former teammates that we kind of surprised him with. Cool stories on both.

- We ask who wins in a fly fishing derby

- We share a few general stories and tell a couple of jokes

- Bobby tells us about the point he decided to go into coaching instead of becoming a pilot in the marine corps

Is it just me or can anyone else just listen to Bobby for hours of entertainment. Most coaches jus give coach speak but you can tell Bobby is genuine. He’s funny and very relatable. Dang, I just realized it almost sounds like I got a man crush on the guy. Either way, I hope he’s our coach tell he jus can’t coach no more.

Well yeah, when he isn't interviewing / talking about an opponent or a game or game prep (which makes complete sense to me - as a head coach I'd want to keep every advantage I have to myself). He's a nicer version of Bellicheck. He says more, but without the mumbling.

We kind of approached this in a fashion that we didn't want it to be a typical media interview where we'd get the same type of answers. I think our conversation was pretty fun and Bobby enjoyed it too. It seemed at first he was maybe wondering what he was getting into, lol, but then with just our dumb jokes and funny stories it really got rolling.

I don't have time to listen. Have to get to the pool now, having just done a hike in the desert, which is in bloom. thinking of selling our house and waiting for our broker to call. He seems to be too busy doing podcasts.

Good pod; boys. Need to do a much better job of screening those who send in listener questions, however.
