This was 2 1/2 hours of a damn fun pod. Riley joins us and shared a lot of cool stories from before the game, at halftime, and afterwards. What it was like up in the booth, what it was like leading up to the game, and so on.

We move into talk on Western Illinois and chat about things around the conference as well. As always you can find the Griz Fan Pod or Montana Mint Sports where ever you get your podcasts, we also have a few links in our show tweet:

Well, we’ve established one thing: Riley is NOT Hunt-Ducks. Hunt-Ducks is NOT Riley.

One point of contention: Yes, Robertson’s picks were on shitty throws, but technically so was Welnel’s. I mean, the UW QB basically did NOT see him, which to me makes it a shitty throw.

And regarding the concern of 4-wide, we have a shitload of good corners on this roster….if a team does THAT as their primary strategy, I can see Cotton or Walker or Joe or Ford and Onu all on the field at the same time.

Top 5 grizzly plays in regular season prior to Welnel's pick on Saturday night. Not sure where it fits, slots easily in at 5, the others all have a ton of emotional attachment to them.
1. FG to beat MSU in Bozeman in 97. (BTW someone needs to get the Fitzgerald Brothers on the GFP well as Brent Pease to replay the post game near beatdown of the Bobcat Security guard)
2. Joey Counts TD against NDSU.
3. The pitch-six against Sacramento State
4. 99 yard TD fumble return against Idaho in 88 in WaGriz.
5. Chuck Mason's blocked PAT in OT against Idaho

Super Dave 4th down completion to set up the field goal to win the national Championship.

I like this list. The only addition I’d add is the 2004 Alan Saenz FG block in Cheney in the 4th quarter. Probably not above your 5, but it was clutch. I can’t remember if the FG was to tie or win, but it was awesome to see the block. Another one I remember from that season was a throw back WR pass to Ochs in the end zone in front of the student section. I think it was against the Bobcats, but it may have been in the playoffs (NW State; UNH, SHSU).

What about the KO return for the win against Joe Glenn's South Dakota team with no time left on the clock?
