You don't need to get so mad, "bub", I'm not the one coming in here saying things that are wrong.
You said zero pressures and hits. The sacks, or lack thereof, are a problem, but there were quite a few times on Saturday where they threw the kitchen sink at #7, and made him throw in 1.5 seconds instead 2, and it resulted in an incompletion. It's just really hard to get a sack in those situations.
Our defense is also different this year, and we've played three quick passing teams. Hopefully it turns around, but I doubt we were ever gonna be sack monsters this year when our defense has been way more about zone coverages to fix coverage mistakes, and less "leave our guys on an island and go get the QB". There are more than one flavor of 3-3-5, and ours is a little different his season. (which I thought was something people wanted to see? I guess not?)
I will say that I did say one thing that was wrong, it's Idaho State that's only allowed 1 sack. Idaho has allowed 6 in conference play.
And my boneheaded comment was a little tongue in cheek, but I guess if lighthearted remarks about some of the things we're actually doing okay at after a slightly encouraging win are gonna be met with the same "everything sucks and nothing is good, and we need to fire everyone" schtick, I'll just keep it to myself. :thumb:
And before you say it, I'm still feeling pretty out on this staff. But you're gonna get the old sugary version of me if we pull it off this weekend.
