Griz Fan Pod questions for the week

how does a team that played a truly physical game the week before come out and do a 180.....effort takes no talent...........is it lack of senor leadership, coaching, has Hauck lost the team in one week....I mean this is unfathomable demonstration by the Griz and everything we stand for....Geez ..and agaisnt the rival of all rival the cats makes it even more befuddling .....thanks....

1. Bobby said in the post-game press conference that they wasted a lot of time in the week prepping for Troy. However, how much would their offense have been different with Troy? Do you buy his excuse?

2. I never played the game and have only learned through consuming games and anecdotal info over the years, but with MSU's complete lack of passing game (everyone knew coming in), why were the safeties consistently playing so deep? Why didn't we have the box always at 8 with the linebackers set to fill the middle and the safeties responsible for anything outside. That way, you're just responsible for your own vertical lane and all the shifts and pulls wouldn't have meant as much.

3. Why have we not been able to stop such a predictable Cat offense over the past 4 years?

4. Do you think the Griz underestimated the Cats? Having just blown out the #3 team in the nation and then knowing the Cats strength of schedule coming in (only one win over a team with a winning record), it appeared the Griz did not anticipate the Cats to put up much of a fight. They were borderline abusive physically against Weber (probably because they knew they had to), but were the exact opposite against the Cats (as if Toure wasn't expecting that kind of hit on the first play).

I will attempt to answer #1. and then follow it with a question.
It was the db's covering the pass plays, with calhoun getting owned on all but a couple of plays, yes, it has been mentioned that he was asked to play this position not by choice (at least on egriz), bless him for taking on such a roll, but (here's the question) why not play fouch at that position after seeing how calhoun was having trouble keeping up? he plays it well and may have been the better choice for saturday. why was that adjustment not made. would it have changed the outcome, probably not since the run was so dominating. but it still is a question that i would liked asked. does experience always have precedence over what might be a better choice to change things up a bit? it is not like we have seen how fouch plays against the pass. plus subbing a redshirt freshman is not that usual.
sometimes the little things can change the flow at least at moving the chains.

do you think it's appropriate for MSU athletic department, or whatever administration office is in charge of the music at the cat games, to play a song in the stadium that they know entices the crowd to chant eat shit grizzlies go cats go?

Would you agree that until they stop that stupid chant and storming the field like the just beat the new england patriots they will always be lil bro?
