GRIZ/EWU game thread

It is going to be a long ugly season

They are worthless- I can't believe a big was not brought in this year

Hitch does not appear to even try and Martin has a constant deer in the head lights look

Ticket prices had better go down alot next year!

Question for you all:

When Ward and Cherry went down at pretty much the same time, the team actually rallied and played really well.............with what we literally have right now........minus Spencer Coleman. Was Coleman that big of a difference maker?
Freddy Owens is the difference.

that is funny

that $7 too much for you? If you paid any attention you would know the BIG Tinkle signed had a credit issue, went to take care of it, and Utah offered him. Not a lot he could do about that. Do you really think Tinkle was banking on Hutch (not Hitch) and Martin to be difference makers in the paint. We all knew they were not the answer, as did Tinkle. Have another PBR, maybe you can afford more of them now

I really don't see Portland State getting swept at home. Pivotal game is next Thursday. If the Griz don't beat UND at home Thursday they are likely looking at a 6 game losing streak until they get to Southern Utah. The end of the schedule is more favorable to the Griz, but it is critical they not to get swept at home next week if they want any chance to make the BSC tournament.

Holy Moly. We're 3 games into the season and we're talking about missing the BSC tournament?

Look, I'm disappointed too. But the winner of this conference is likely to have 5 or 6 conferences losses. Weber got pasted last night, and what are there, 2 or 3 total wins by the road team so far. I don't think a 1-2 start is a killer. That said, I agree the next 3 games are important with 4 straight after that on the road.

Well, I got stuck in an airport and could only watch the Arizona UCLA game. Watching a long cold streak by UCLA and then a fast hot streak, well, that's sports.

I am glad to live in an era that I can watch the game tonight, courtesy of bigsky.tv. To me, having ridden to grade school on a horse, this is really remarkable to do this. I attended my first Griz basketball game in 1957. The Field House was brand new. So, I'm like, "wow, this is really neat." We got our first TV two years later.

Just watched the first half. Both Hutch and Martin did some credible defense. Weisner was solid. GFeller,Kemp, Gregory, solid. Jamar: unemotional. Hutch worked hard. Martin tried some shots. DeShields, strong. I can see Wayne's "dilemma." It was a "credible" half, not inspired, but credible.

Gregory not scoring in the first half: that was the game
