Griz Drop despite win.

Its not surprising nor the end of the world.

PSU really looked as good as UM if they didn't have a bunch of stupid penalties.

Very glad for the W but the Griz really need to whip up on the rest of our schedule, at least the next couple before I see them drastically moving up. The rest of FCS looks at the NAU game and seriously questions this team. Look forward to seeing us finish in the top 4-5 at the end of the year though, still think these kids can do it.

If IF'S and BUTS were candy and nuts....

If we hadn't abandoned our power running game against NAU
If we hadn't continued to throw the ball long
If our offensive line hadn't treated the game like a scrimmage
If...if...if....we'd have beaten NAU!

Against NAU, for the most part, the run was abandoned after we got so far behind that the only way to catch up was by passing.

box,

If you get out of character for one second, you’ll see that he actually has a point. Perhaps not you specifically, but this an annoying habit of Griz fans. Every week is a huge challenge for the Griz, and in hindsight the team we just played was garbage. Griz fans have been playing this fiddle for as long as I can remember.

Raider, I am in total agreement with the point he was making, just not the fact that he was lumping me in the group. I also get so tired of the "Griz did not want him" and "How could he not choose Montana...It is Montana" rants many posters use when a kid decides to go somewhere other than Montana.

So Kem, by that rationale if the Griz end up 10-2 or even 9-3 do you think that they should not go to the playoffs because of three bad 30-point wins? And on the flip side, if the Griz had lost to Appy, UND and PSU, plus NAU but beat EWU and MSU and ended up say 7-5, should they be a high seed because the latter two wins had VALUE?
Chill. You're reading far more than I posted.

For the Griz to move up from here, the Griz need to prove that they are not just momma boys that can only beat good teams at home. That road NAU beat-down was embarrrissssing.

I think they can beat good teams on the road. They just have to DO/prove it.

They are looking to make a statement this weekend on the road, versus UC Davis.

GO GRIZ :!: :egriz:
