Griz "Defense"

NDSU gives up 3.75 per rush. UM gives up 4.0 per rush. 10 teams in the top 50 of rushing defense give up more than 4 yards per carry. I think 7 playoff teams averaged giving up less than 4 yards per carry.

Honest question PR, you played on a good D. Is this Griz D good against the run? Yes or no....

Better than average. Sometimes good, sometimes not as good. Some games good or very good. Some games not so good. Some weak halves. At times, gives up too many long runs. That sometimes occurs when the secondary is playing man coverage, and has their backs to the offensive formation, and someone doesn't play their gap or gets beat badly, and there is no one to stop or run down the back. Tackles fairly well, and then has times or games when some of the tackling is weak. Not consistent enough.

I don't care if we win games 10-7 or 57-55.

A win is a win and they don't award the victory to the team that gains the most yards.

No one is arguing about winning games....the discussion is about how "great" the Griz defense played....
Your post is accurate if you take the "great" out of it.

Point is: when we lose, eGriz bitches about why/how we lost. When we win, we bitch about how we won. Just doesn't make sense.

Some people just don't know how to be happy. If you're able to see a win for what it is --a win-- you're either a sugar coater, stoopid or both. If you don't express your displeasure loud and often and get real specific with it, you're a hack, a joker and a bad fan all rolled up in one.

Newsflash: people don't come on here and start screaming about how much their team stunk it up because there are already plenty of assholes doing just that, and most of us have enough decorum to not pile on with the rest of the d-bags. But they're just being the shepherds they well know that they are.

Onward to mediocrity! :thumb:
