GRIZ/CSF game thread

here is the second half I was hoping for.....now lets close it out!! good to see Qvale and Selvig come alive....

Well, if it's 1,500 X 100 then that's 1,500,000 at one game!!!!

Griz ahead 56 - 51 with 4:16 left. Thinking you meant 1,500 only that's pretty disappointing. I remember going to games from 1980 to 86 and the place was packed for every game; over 7,000 at least. Had to rush to get to be the first in line in order to get seating at mid-court in the first row. Great times!!! What happened?

Griz 63 - 58 with 1:38 left. I think Quale just fouled out with 14 pts.

Yeah. Those were the days with Montgomery and Morrill.
 
Well, the Griz got this one, but did not beat the spread (12)...I hope the California guys come with their game to Pauley Pavillion...they won't be overwhelmed like so many who haven't been there....the Griz just need to play a few feet forward..too close to the baseline under the basket....leads to bad shots..but they get a win in spite of it...oops...hmmm
 
Selvig... not too far from a triple double ... 16 points, 7 assists, 7 rebounds... great job! Hope he stays aggressive like that
 
And Cherry had 24 pnts, 7 rebs, 6 assists, and 7 steals. 9 rebs for Jamar in just 20 min, and Steward stepped up when Jamar was out! Qvale seemed a little out of it tonight but still put up numbers. Selvig was great about using force to draw fouls inside and made the free throws, instead of taking weak jumpers and sky hooks!

I didn't realize Cherry had those kinds of numbers. Awesome.
 
Aside from Steward, the bench really needs to contribute more. Without being able to watch the game, it just never seemed like the Griz were going to lose this one. Glad they proved me right.
 
Im also worried about the bench besides Steward and Ward at times! The other new guys havent showed much! I know it takes time, but not seeing much yet? Wood really hasnt showed me much either, its like he is just out there, he just doesnt do anything bad or anything good. So I guess thats OK??
