griz challenge

The Griz challenge ahead of them a is to find a reliable point guard. unfortunately, Booker has not been able to play within the system. I know he is trying hard--- and perhaps too hard--- as the t/o stat reflects. Criswell is not a point guard as he looks to score way too much for a team that is trying to involve it's big men. I can only imagine how difficult it is for Kamar and John--- they cannot get the ball. Somehow, someone needs to step up to running the team on the floor--- give up themselves as a scorer for the sake of getting others involved. The Griz only had 8 assists in the GU game--- McKay had 4 in the last minutes.

It seems to me that Criswell is trying too hard as well. But I've only been to one game so that's hardly fair. I wish he could get going. He's the reason I'm starting to get back into the basketball program.

I agree that Criswell has been trying too hard. I think that's why his shooting has been so off. His three point shots keep going long and bouncing off the back rim which would generally indicate that he's shooting the ball too hard and not naturally. I really noticed it against Jackson St. Derrick can be a good point guard...but I think he's been having trouble lately because the team isn't meshing well.
