Weber by 34.

I'd be funneling my frustration elsewhere too in your shoes. I'd be rooting for whoever the Griz play if I had just been embarrassed at home as well.

That's not frustration. That's a prediction. I would suggest that the Vegas line won't be far from it.

Tinkle, yes. Bobby? You can talk after you go to the NC.

By NC, do you mean NOT Champions, Not Competent, No Class, No Chance, No Charter (to Portland) or No Contest, No Chance (to win the Big Sky)? No Championship? I am a little unclear on this.

I meant National Championship, but I realise it's been so long for you you just wouldn't get it.

Weber will beat the cats by 30. Tonight though, the cats played much harder than the Griz. It is hard to understand why :? Tinks needs to end his infatuation with Staudacher. IMHO he has not earned the floor time he is given and really struggles guarding quick players (as was the case tonight.) A crappy ending to an otherwise encouraging season. Griz only scored 24 in the second half, 12 by AJ. :(

5,200+ fans came and watched Anthony choke. Anthony brought us here. He had the ball at the end, and all he had to do is drive to the basket, draw a foul and shoot two freethrows, maybe a traditional three point play. but, somehow, it just looked in this game that he didn't have the confidence he had in previous games, and it surely showed when he decided to pass it off to a Griz player that really wasn't there and that was pretty much the end of the game.

Lady Griz had 6,734 fans. Griz had just over 5,200 fans. That is almost 12,000 fans in the field house. Adams Center was rockin. With that extra 1,500 fans Lady Griz now have a higher attendance average then the mens team. they really deserved it.

AJ did struggle today, but that just goes to show what a tremendous player he is if we call today's performance a "struggle".

I agree. I hope they sell out both of their tournament games. They deserve every bit of the exposure. They are a truly talented bunch. Go Lady Griz!

Staudacher is such a good shooter, but his delivery is so slow, and he really has a hard time creating his own shot. Maybe he should take lessons shooting from Sonya Rogers. She shoots so quick and keeps so balanced with her shot.

I don't think you lay this debacle at the feet of AJ. He is all we had in the 2nd half and for that matter in way too many games. He played awfully hard. Had the rest of the team played with his energy, I doubt we would be having this sort of miserable post mortem discussion. The cats had more offensive rebounds than the Griz had defensive boards and out rebounded the Griz by 11. This was a poor night to not show up in terms of hustle and intensity. Big time hustle and intensity was on display earlier in the day from the Lady Griz. Not so for the men. :(

A stinging loss, tough to deal with. Griz went stone cold for a long stretch and were killed on rebounds and gave up nearly 20 offensive boards, ugh. Tough way to end the season, but that's the way it goes. Got a few Pyramid Apricot Ales with my name on it 2nite, I'll post later.

Nice spelling clown, try hooked on phonics next time before you post

Since we are talking the past, we obviously win (3 football National Championships, 1 Basketball National Championship). If you want to talk about choking in the National Championship, sure, you win. Good job hackers. If we are talking the present, well...we win again-good game grizzlies.

We will be going to round #2, while you are recruiting.

How in the heck do you lose at home to a cat team that was garbage? Horrible.
Well, look on the bright side...if the Griz couldn't beat a lousy team on the Griz home court, before a friendly crowd, just think how bad it would be at Weber State, and if they won there, just imagine how bad it would be for the 16th seed to face a North Carolina, Pittsburgh, or Connecticut. That would be far, far worse...just another embarrassment for the Griz bball program....

Nice to see a griz fan that has some intelligence. Let me guess, born and raised in Missoula, attended MSU, moved to LA?

6-17 in the biggest game of the year.

You figure the Big Sky MVP would step up when it mattered...

Yep, Johnson DEFINITELY got robbed

Sadly, I rather would've seen Weber play the Griz...but congrats to MSU, here's to them not taking another one in Ogden.

Oh and what about this:

Anthony Johnson, after Montana lost to Weber in Missoula: "We played two of our ugliest games against them. We'll see them again later."

He must've been talking about seeing them on TV...or is he traveling to Ogden and buying tickets?

Congrats to the Cats, especially to those cat fans that know how to win with class. Personally I will cheering for the MSU to beat WS. Though task for the cats, they barely beat a poor playing Griz team tonight. They will have to up their game a ton to have a chance againts WSU. Good luck next week.

I believe he meant to say "We play our ugliest games when it really counts. See you next year."
Good game cats...and good luck in Weber. We have no one to blame but ourselves....we choked in the big game again. We have a big game and get a nice crowd then lay an egg....AGAIN. All the people leave the game either frustrated, pi**ed off or upset and everyone wonders why the mens team can't fill the stands. I have a solution to this problem..quit laying an egg everytime people fill the stands for these big games.

Oh Noes! I feel so bad for misplelling some wordz. Kudos to you on your DII Championships. I like this banter, thanks for coming out of the woodwork on one of your few wins.

Anyway, you can't blame AJ, he pretty much kept the team in it at the end. I sure wish these Griz under Tinkle would come out strong at the end of the season instead of laying eggs. Oh well! We have three more years with Tinks to see if he can get things steamrolling.

I agree. They pick the worst times to come out flat, but it's been the theme for the last few years. I just don't get how they can't come out fired up for these games, especially with a rival. Kudos to the cats for wanting it more.
