GRIZ/CAT WEEK is the streak over?

If we play like we did against WA and AZ then we have a pretty good chance, if we don't?

just watched UA destroy ASU the other night....we had THAT team on the ropes for much of the game, but can't beat the likes of Sac St & UNC & NAU....

Soooooo frustrating.

It really is an understatement that we play to the level of competition.

Would be classic UM not to provide a press release or any further commentary.

Looking at the schedule for the rest of the year making up both games probably won't happen.

The other element to consider is that for Covid 19 protocols, I think being at home prior to might be of preference, and with that in mind UM/MSU don't share a lot common home dates. The game would likely be on a Monday just so they can be prepared to play the following Thursday.

As far as I can see from the schedule, February 15th might be the only day that works. Just a guess if they are committed to the Covid-19 protocols as Travis has intimated before.

Big Sky Conference policy is that COVID canceled games will not be rescheduled

They have done it as NAU/EWU did earlier in the year and ISU cancelled one of their games and moved it to the Sunday of the same game week to get players through the Covid protocol. I think there is limited wiggle room if they can't play it this weekend or Monday at the latest. Two games are largely out of the question if multiple players are presumed positive within the program or close contacts.

I know that the NAU/EWU game was not rescheduled. They were able to play the second game because the team in question cleared protocol but the first game was cancelled.

I got my info from Lance Hartzler (NAU beat reporter for AZ dailysun)

But I agree I wouldn't hold out hope that it is. Because it is essentially saying the UM-MSU game holds some sort of special standing in the conference... Would love if they could find a way to get one game in...

You are correct, they did reschedule and then could only complete 1 of the 2 games. So much for a Conference rule. I would guess that the timing will just make it too difficult to reschedule.

The report is at least one positive within the program. Here is hoping that this doesn't cascade in to a presumed positive of one or several close contacts in the next 5 days. Most teams have avoided multiple week cancellations as a worst case scenario.

Without looking, because I don't know how other teams have handed positives and I am only really familiar w/ high school policies in this regard, does anyone know how long a positive is out per BSC/NCAA protocol? Here it is at least 14 days from the date of the positive test.

Even 10 days could be an issue depending on the start date.
