Griz-Cat Satellite Parties

Just a reminder for all the out of state Griz fans, the Griz-Cat game will be broadcast nationwide via DirecTV. Check the alumni website to find your local party location http://www.grizalum.org/events/Griz Cat Gatherings/default.aspx. The game will be on DirecTV channel 652 and will be shown in its entirety. Get out there and support our Grizzlies with fellow fans! Contact your local alumni coordinator if you have any questions.

And for the record, its always been GRIZ-cat to me!

It will be a first for Bellingham this year!

Bellingham: Quarterback Pub & Eatery **New Party for 2009**
356 36th Street; 360.647.8132
Coordinator: Anne Freeman Rasmussen ‘98; 360.319.9219; [email protected]

I went and checked it out today. They are likely going to set us up in the back party room with a big screen.

You can bring your kids since they serve food and have a partition for the bar. It should be fun.

Go Griz!

Great work oGriz!

My annual maps for the Griz-Cat program are done: Map of the Griz and Bobcat players hometowns in Montana and my map of the states that players are from.

Let me know if you spot any info that seems way off.

Thanks, TheBud.

I still had some work to do on the page before announcing it, but files are up there.

Oops. Sorry. I had seen that you had announced it on LinkedIn.com.

There is still a lot of great info though.

Go Griz!

Got the countdown going. Will be a blast...see you at the QB. I'm kind of curious how the turnout will be, I'm thinking it will be good even though it's the first year for Bham.

In some ways, I envy you folks who go to Griz-Cat parties across the nation. How fun! But, I like staying in my basement, in front of my own TV, with my own booze, rooting for the Griz with just my family. But, I do make sure our Anchorage daughter remembers to show up at the Peanut Farm there (with her rooting-for-the-Bobcats husband -- he knows better, but...), in her appropriate Griz gear.

I will be at the Peanut Farm in Anchorage, AK as well. It's always a good time. The Farm also has the playoff games every year if anyone wants to partake.

For anyone in western South Dakota (anyone?), it looks like the location will change from what's listed on the alumni page. Hooky Jack's in Rapid City no longer exists. I talked to the coordinator yesterday and she is trying to nail down an alternate site in the next couple of days. Hopefully she'll find something, otherwise I'll have to drive to Gillette to watch it. I try to avoid Gillette at all costs, but I suppose I could make an exception for Griz-Cat ;) .

Update on the Rapid City party (I'm fairly sure I'm talking to myself here, but what the hell). It's gonna be at Boston's. There's only one Boston's in Rapid, it's just east of the mall, pretty easy to find. If you're in western South Dakota or just passing through on I-90 on Saturday, stop on in. Hoping to get a decent number of people there. Honestly, I see more people wearing Griz gear around here than I do SDSU or USD.

Any eGrizers going to be at MacGregor's in San Diego?
I think alot of folks in San Diego Come down to Dailys in South OC. We usually have 150 plus for the Griz Cat game. Its only about an hour north of SanDiego

The party was fun for the past few years here in Portland at Grand Central until all the Cat fans came out of the woodwork. Last year was not a fun time (regardless of game outcome). I can take getting a hard time from another team's fans, but some of the actions of the young Cat fans ruined the party.
