I'm sure he's heartbroken about his inaccurate prediction of the 2016 season. Truly a devastating failure.
Watching the same small group of football blowhards make big claims and out-of-sight predictions has its own entertainment value. It wasn't just the "inaccurate predication." I'd guess that there was probably about 50,000 of those. It was the sheer pomposity and arrogance of the claims made, lasting through two seasons, pretending it wasn't your analytical failures, it was some undefined malevolence that was somehow preventing a brilliant D2 level coach from claiming his rightful due in the storied pantheon of FCS football.

The claims that were wholly, completely, embarrassingly wrong. I've never seen so much arrogance go so wrong.

Anyone can hope for the best, and still be wrong. In the long run, it's the nature of the game. It's the nature of sport and chance.

It is the amazing level of arrogance that you two (and about five others) bring to this sport, on this forum, combined with an inexplicable arrogance that anyone should take you seven seriously ever again. You're here for your personal egos, not for the sport.

Remember. We lost our last game of the season to MSU. At home. To the league's current bottom-dweller.

UNI had a very similar, if not worse finish to their season. And they have an established coach who has been there for years and been successful.

It's not unprecedented, it's not unique to Montana, it's not uncommon, and most importantly it's in the past. We've got a group of talented players that have more camaraderie than any team we've had in the last 5 years, they're excited about the season, and those close to the program have great things to say about the coaching staff and the players.

But don't mind me, have another drink and keep beating that horse.

Thanks for the lecture. After 50 years of "sports" as a competitor, referee, coach, faculty member at UM, UM Coach, instructor, administrator, Olympic Sport Board member (15 years), author, consultant, speaker, and writer -- in two different Olympic sports -- I need a lecture on "sports" from some guy who read a newspaper article once.

Trying to deflect to the players for the failings of a coach, is cheap. It's not the point at all. It is however consistent with my point: a small group of posters post every day, so that everyone knows what they think about everything, as though their opinions count for anything.

As the recent debacle shows, a small group of supremely arrogant posters let us all know what was supposed to happen this past year.

1. Griz- We got another year under Stitt's system, hes got HIS guy at D coordinator. Talented roster, lots of battle tested kids returning.
See the date? See the arrogance? See the error?

Know what happened?

Didn't we hear this same thing last year?

Must be a press release. Another poster posted virtually the same thing, on behalf of ALL the coaches and players and the team after the humiliating end of last season. Even after a series of humiliating losses, "unprecedented unity!" The Internet said so.

A week later Nolan Swett was fired. Players couldn't stand him.

Oops.

What's it going to take this season to admit you were wrong about Stitt, 75?
Let's see, I didn't see UM going in the right direction 2/3 of the way through Season 1.

Do you think Season 2 proved me wrong?

Or you?

So nothing.

Gotcha.

Probably because it makes more sense to not have 8-10 freshman all playing when you can give them a year to develop while still potentially making the playoffs..... make no mistake, the griz have young talent that we havent seen in a decade with this program

I still stand by my comment, the Griz do currently have and have added to young talent on the roster that we havent had around for a long time. I dont think people are debating the level of talent on our roster.

Well except asshats like you.
Too late. Game is over. You were talking about the level of talent -- a level we hadn't seen in years -- on last year's roster.

Last year is over. Our worst conference record in over 30 years.

How embarrassing for you.

Had a lot of freshman and red shirt freshman playing last year did we?

I'm surely the first poster ever to think we were going to have a good year and be wrong about it.

And FYI nobody believes that you've done half of your list of accomplishments up there bud.

Poor Badlands. No matter how many posts he fabricates, at the end of the day, he actually wrote:

And how big of a deal is that? It's not like he put lives in danger, or lost the farm over a prediction......you're so petty, have a fun weekend and be safe out there pal.

Why do you call people out who think highly of the team? This happens with fans of every team, everywhere. I can understand that you disagree, but to call people out and be so anal about it is kind of strange. We're all pulling for the same team, so if someone can come up with a reason why we're going to be successful I know I'm all ears.

Because he sees any show of optimism for the team as tacit support of Stitt, about whom he wants to be proven right that he was a bad hire and is a bad coach.

Isn't that obvious?

Hahah dude, the things you're trying to make me upset about don't work on people with stable chemical balances in their brain.

I made a prediction of where the Griz would place and I was wrong....who cares... I dont.

You are legit f'd in the head.

For "not caring," you're sure taking it pretty personally.

Oh, how could anyone who claims to know so much, always be so wrong?

It's a rhetorical question. We know the answer. You're just so "unconcerned" about it, you are hoping to beat it to death. You were wrong, in your usual highly presumptuous and consdescending way. That seems to be your distinguishing characteristic.

Doesn't make you unique. Just more obnoxious about it than most.

Have a good day.

I wonder how long its going to take you to be put back in timeout? You seem to be off to a good start.

Or let me guess, you were at another Olympics committee meeting. Thanks for bringing back baseball supreme leader.

Why though? I support all griz coaches. How can a guy dislike a coach sooooo much who has only been here 3yrs?
75 has shown a dislike for stitt for two years now. I don't get it

Look at the words and phrases 75 used in this thread: blowhards, pomposity, "undefined malevolence," arrogance (like 5 times including "inexplicable arrogance"), "thanks for the lecture," humiliating, obnoxious, embarrassing, "highly presumptuous and condescending."
All because he does not agree with a FAN'S prediction on a fan message board.
If there is a bigger douche bag on the internet, I have not come across him yet.
