Amazing, everything going against the GRIZ and it's a 1 possession game.

That officiating crew should never step on a D1 court again. Good god! I will say though, despite all the free throws the cats shot in the first half, we were still right there and in the game. I thought the real difference in the game was that stretch at the end of the first/ start of the second where the cats made like 5 out of 6 three pointers, a couple of which were wide open shots with nobody within a mile of them.
Similar to the Lady Griz with Stump missing the wide open layup, the men failed to get the rebound with 13 seconds left and the cats maintained possession and we had to foul. You get that rebound and it’s your ball down 2 with a chance to tie or win the game. Instead, you don’t get the rebound and you have to foul and the lead goes to 4.
We’re just as good as they are. Those are obviously 2 really tough ways to lose to them, but I hope we get a chance to face them at the conference tournament cause I think we can beat them. Let’s close out strong and get ready for Boise!

I like this team. They’re fun to watch. They don’t quit. Sometimes the shots drop and sometimes they don’t. But when your guys bust ass like these guys do, wins and losses seem a little less important.

I really liked the 2nd half performance.
I posted earlier, I thought DeCuire should try spreading the offense for isolation. The Cats defense was absolutely dominating our offense. I didn't see any other logical options offensively.
Fortunately, the 1st iso option was Bannan. It worked so well, we didn't have to see our 2nd and 3rd iso options. I'm sure, Moody and Whitney would've been the next options. That decision turned out to be a terrific decision by DeCuire. Just wish,it was successful earlier. Bannan missed a few easier shots early on with it.
It's nice to know, Bannan is capable of being an iso specialist, if needed. We haven't had that since Pridgett. Next step, add a few options to it and find other players who can iso.
Hopefully, DeCuire will be willing to use iso more often to add to the offense.
