GRIZ/BYU game thread

They just showed a shot of the crowd. How can they have had 11,500? Are they counting all the re-baptised dead people that are there "in spirit".

funniest post I've read on here in a long time.

ouch. 25 pt loss. BYU 85, good guys 60. Simply outclassed - questionable calls or not. BYU clearly better, and pulled away the last half of the second half. Hopefully we play better at San Francisco.

Front court

GRIZ lost their composure. Tinkle cannot be happy, bad shot selection, bad passes, no continuity on offense, way too many defensive break downs.

and a huge disadvantage in the front court.

BULLSHIT!

First, that wasn't a 25 point game. Once you get under 4 minutes with a double digit lead, all hell breaks loose, which is what happened here. Ask the mormons; they'll tell you that game was a hell of a lot closer than that.

Second, no Will.

Third, that officiating was F*CKED UP. Worst I've seen since the championship game at unc.

Yes, the mormons are better. But you throw Cherry into the mix on a neutral floor without officials wearing the special underwear, that game is a toss up.

The difference today -- besides the one-sided officiating -- was the turnovers and points off them.

Well, im glad I couldn't watch this one!! Sounds like they didn't learn much from the ugly win? Not much progress since the CSU game???? We need to be getting better guys, we don't need close games with Idaho, buzzer beaters at home against SD, and certainly not 25pnt losses to anyone who is not in the Top Ten! Hopefully this was our wakeup call???

Griz will be fine. After they weathered the first 5 minutes (which weren't pretty), they outplayed byu up until the final 4 minutes. They couldn't outplay the officials and byu in the end.

I agree, but guess what? Cherry wasn't there, we made continuous stupid lazy passes, couldn't convert in the post, while they could, and they broke down our d time and again...if that isn't "outclassed" I dunno what is.

I agree with a lot of your points, MMF. Certainly our post play isn't where it needs to be. And for the years the Griz have been the worst, most tentative team I've ever when they're one foot from the hoop. Passing was terrible; turnovers were ridiculous.

But can you argue with me that if you take away the first 4 minutes and the last 4 minutes that UM played AT LEAST even, if not better?

All I'm saying is that when you're missing the best player in the league, it's a little hard to say you were outclassed. Match those teams on a neutral floor with Will? I like our chances.
