GRIZ/Boise State game thread

can you not play Breunig & Kemp at the same time? Is that against the rules? Great effort griz...let's do this.....
Breunig doesn't know how to play outside...indecisive..

last year, Gregory had ice in his veins. Tonight, looks like he doesn't want to shoot at all...he is due for a 3.

Can't turn it over 3 times, take poor shot selection and foul an off balance 3 point shooter in OT.

Griz are just happy to see a second one.

Hopefully win or lose, this game will create some toughness which I think is underrated.
The Griz were very aggressive in the first half...toughness isn't their problem

Didn't watch the first half. What would you say it is?

Also, for anyone... What's up with missed freethrows? I'm a shitty b-ball player, but I can shot freethrows

UM missed too many 3s in the first half and showed way to much indecision in the second half, plus 2 very dumb fouls that gave BSU 5 pts. And, two or 3 shot clock violations..but, they were 17 pt underdogs..so...

Wow, tough loss for guys tonight. I'm proud of them for rebounding the way they did after the CSU game. Stay tuned, the Griz have some work to do still, but this team will be alright.

I think they will be better in the conference than people expect...Boise is a pretty good team and the Griz played some good defense for much of the game. At one one point BSU was hitting only 29% because of the pressure put on them....not a bad showing.. The new uniforms look great, as well...Cal will be the major test..

Huge improvements on defense, effort, and rebounding. Hard to believe, perimeter shooting is where we are struggling so far. It is a matter of time for the shots to fall again.. I'm not very worried.

many things improved but some very poor offense sets in both ots..this team needs to improve on much but from CSu game this was great sign. Needed Dunn in ot's, need some one to decide to be the "guy"..nice efforts from many players...out rebounded them 38-36, that in it self is a huge effort improvement...this team will be okay

Gotcha.. Overall, still encouraged where the team can go over the course of a season.

I have faith in Weisner, Gregory, Dunn, Breunig, Edmunds, and Gfeller. It is just a matter of learning one another's game. We will be winning games down the stretch this season. It looks like to me Breunig's teammates have faith in his game, more than he does. They really were looking for him to take over, and wanting to get him the ball. Dude can handle the rock for a 6'8" guy. I can see him burning plenty of bigs taking the ball to the hole. Come conference play, he will be the player I expect him to be. The kid has a ton of potential. Gregory did step up in the 2nd half. We have a lot of guys who can score. Floor spacing was not that great in the 2nd half, which resulted in many of our turnovers.

Hard to believe, I am so stoked that we out rebounded a very good team. This team needs to place an emphasis on penetrating. Great things happen when a team consistently gets into the lane. I feel sorry for the 1st team that sees the GRIZ hit their 3's the way I know they are capable. That is just a matter of time. :thumb:

Great effort, defense, hustle, attitude, etc. It was just a matter of a few too many turnovers and missed shots. Both those things can be cured.
