Tough game, UM led most of the game, usually by 7. Missed a lot free throws in the second half but pulled it out 68-58.

The score was locked for about 4 minutes in the second half. EWU could not do anything. Then they had cut the lead to 5 later in the half and the game got really physical. The refs were calling the game one way. They would miss obvious physical plays (illegal moving screens, hard hand checks, and blocking calls) when the eagles would commit them. The griz were also being physical and they deserved their fouls as much as EWU did, the refs just weren't calling it straight.

Awesome game and a good outcome. Lady griz will play well tonight at home. I asked the cop guarding the officials locker room if the same crew would be working the lady griz game. He didn't answer. I said that he had better get more security then. He asked me if it was a threat and got ready to tackle me(I think). I don't get like that, but I said that I just knew how mad the crowd was after one game with them. We both chuckled, but I don't think he thought it was funny. If I get arrested for something I say, will another egrizzer bail me out? :)

It was a great game to watch. Nothing stands out to me as "The Difference" from today's game for the Griz, just a hard fought game where the Griz came out on top.

Matt Martin picked up 4 fouls (I think 3 on offense, a couple unbelievable). Saw a lot of 3 guard action with Criswell, Martin and Mathews that seemed pretty effective. Farr did not play at all.

Seyfert got the game going with some nice defense, and rebounding, then Davis got his inside game working, then Dloughy. Dloughy had a dunk that I think he might have jumped from the 1/2 court line to make  it was awesome. Anybody know why Eastern got the T after that play?

Easley was clutch shooting free throws at the end and clinched the game for the Griz. Seems like everyone else who got to the line more than once made about 1/2 their free throws. Someday this is going to kill the Griz. Even clutch shooters like Davis and Criswell were off.

The crowd wasn't huge (3300), but they were loud thanks to the officiating and some nice plays by the Griz, and it was fun to be part of. The lower seating area looked to be almost completely full, which was nice to see.

Hopefully Krysco will get his first HC win over MSU. At least a Montana team is guaranteed a spot in the finals, which is nice.

Burns got the technical because Pariseau flopped when they had Martin trapped in the backcourt. Martin split the trap, Pariseau fell down, the feed went to Dlouhy, he slammed it down, all while Burns was flipping out about not getting the charge call.

A better question. How come we didn't get the position after the technical FTs?
