At the moment both can answer to the name "Grisly." Again, I feel compelled to suggest that the women need their own nickname, Grizettes, Grizella's or something else. Lady Griz is kind of a qualifying nomenclature, sorta like 1-AA.

This team is not imploding and they are still in excellent position to host the tourney. Let's get a grip here and realize that we lost a tough game on the road to a well-coached team that came out and played their game and took the Griz out of theirs.

We should have beat Weber last night, yes. But give WSU credit - this could be what they needed to turn the tide and try to make a run at the BSC tourney. You can never count out any of Cravens teams. Just look at what they did last year.

The Griz do need to take care of business, and I'm sure that they know that. The advantage to losing to Weber is that if it comes down to a tie-breaker, the records against MSU, EWU and SAC are going to come up before WSU. If NAU loses to SAC or MSU, the Griz would have the tie-breaker if both end up with only 2 losses.

just a thought, we were winning when scoring a lot of points, i know i know "defense wins championships" but maybe just go with what was working, get it up and down the floor and beat teams with you offensive capabilities.

The Griz are not imploding. I may be the only one, but I hope we don't host. When was the last time the one seed actually won the BSC tourney. I want us to win the regular conference and go to the NCAA tournament, but between the two I would rather go to the NCAAs. The loss against Weber hurts because losses like that put us on thin ice for the NIT in case we don't win the BSC tourney. But we are not imploding. 16-4 speaks for itself.

Actually I had school, anyways, At the end of the year i am pretty confident that we will host the big sky tourney and win it. Yesterdays loss was horrible but it doesnt mean that we completely out of it like some people are saying....

We arent atop right now but give it a couple of weeks and we will be right back up there (especially when we kill your kitties in missoula)

You got that right Shaker. Some of these bandwagoners even admitted they had not been to many Griz BB games. At the start of the season, if you had told people that on 2/3/06 the Griz would be 6-2, 16-4 people would be ecstatic. Then people read those dumbass RPI ratings and think that must scare the rest of the league so bad the Griz just have to show up and they hand us a W. It is just the opposite, the bullseye gets even bigger, kinda like when the Griz play up.

The Griz are going to be just fine. Krysko said at the start of the year 4 losses could still win the regular season, he may still be right. This is not a time to panic.

Hopefully last night's loss will have a silver lining--by showing the Griz the need to develop a killer instinct. They can't let up when they get a little ahead, and with all their great bench strength, they should be able to run roughshod over opponents in the waning minutes of games.

Those bandwagoners think its just like football where our team is suppose to win every game and then when they lose a game then again prove that they think its football and our season is over just because we lost a tough road gamea against a well coached time. ITS NOT FOOTBALL!!! Although its a terrible lost that should have been a win, it isnt the end of the season and we still have one of the best records in the nation, let alone the big sky conference. I wish people like Ronbo(not calling you out, just an example) that just showed up on this board because they opened up the missoulian one day and saw that the Grizzlys were 10-1. I want all the fans the in the world to love Grizzly basketball but I would also like to elimate all the fans that are here just because we are doing good.

Leading the BSC on attendence in Football and Basketball, and having a very promising recruiting class in both sports does not at all seem unhealthy to me.

PS. we still will probably win the conference in BB. I'm sure coach K's post game speach was scary after that WSU game. It's jus that kid of upset that will snap our team into a late season run, just like losing off the bat to BSU when we should have won shocked us into a 12-1 run like we had in the pre-season.
