Although I would like for them to give a reason, and think more harm will come to them by being secretive than it is worth to protect them from lawsuits, they don't have to tell us, and we really don't have a right to know. Tokyos whining gets old fast. Also have to think about the other side of this. It's possible either Pflu or O'Day or both have asked for it not to be disclosed. Watching the interview with both of them yesterday showed that they don't seem to be on the same page with each other. O'Day seemed to accept it o.k. and Pflu was pissed. Just more confusion to this whole mess.crackgina said:The Supreme Court of Montana does NOT require disclosure of termination causes in personnel matters. Life is not fair Tokyo. I don't know if Johnson is guilty, I don't believe in trying someone in the Missoulian or on egriz, however I do understand that comments like Pflu's the leader of Griz Nation basically called the alleged victim a liar to all the world. Not smart for someone in his position and a PR nightmare.

The President is doing and saying the right things. MSU got in trouble when they decided not to renew Kramer's contract, because they told him one thing in private and said something else to the public and liable his good character. Silence is golden right now. We all know things have gotten out of hand in Grizland. Not renewing a contract is a sound personal decision as it is not a firing. No legal recourse to attack here or it will be hard to attack legally. I am sure some UM of alumni will try. The University has to finish paying out the terms of the contracts and decide on whom to hiring next. They do not need to say anything else about this matter.
Sadly, as a Cat fan, this is the best thing that could happen to your program.
I wish this train wreck would continue for you, but it will soon be over for you, if the University learns from the mistakes of MSU.

and if the alleged victim turns out to be a liar....then standing up for an individual who he believes does have a high moral fiber is still wrong?
Why does the alleged victim have the right to ruin JJ's name before anything is proven, but we have to worry about alleged victim's feelings before anything is proven?
Either name them both, or don't name either of them....
Exactly, Edwards is nothing but a blowhard who most of the time doesn't know his ass from his elbow.colsteveaustin said:Cliff Edwards is pissed because the guy who presided over the most thuggish era of Montana football has finally been let go after numerous chances to amend things.
Shocking.
Too bad he couldn't have shown up sooner and used his blowpiece to represent some of the victims who were being curb stomped, raped, and who knows what else is yet to be revealed.
Likely he was on thin ice after the investigation/report and the protective JJ statement was a straw that broke the camel's back. Like he didn't get where Engtrom was going. That said, I hope Pflu protects his rights and does test the decision legally; it sounds as if Edwards is ready to jump in. It may be the case that UM has agreed to pay the third contract year on the condition of his silence and no legal challenge.Lady Fan of the Griz said:Does anyone realize that Pflu's comments to the press regarding Jordan Johnson were wrong? There's a great idea. Publish the alleged victims' names so the Griz Sunshine Pumpers can harass and intimidate them. I can just imagine some of the things the delusional fans on this board would post toward any woman who dared to claim she was assaulted by a Griz football player.
Reading this place, it appears that the majority seem to believe that every single alleged rape is being brought forward by women who are lying about it. Either that, or I've read that because a lot of women supposedly get raped, that it's not that big of a deal.
Just disgusting stuff, and I have to wonder if some of you would say the same things about the alleged victims if your own identity was known to the public.
