Griz at UC Riverside (Saturday)

Game over. 71-63 Griz. As ugly as it was, glad they got the win and didn't fold like at SJSU last year. And this concludes my two hour conversation with myself! Night!

Sixty-five% shooting from the field by the Griz in the second half (and 39% from beyond the arc) and solid defense (they for forced 22 turnovers by Riverside -- exactly double their average for the season).

GREAT job of solitary monitoring and reporting Peaux! I watched the video link. Not the greatest but it worked. And yes of those maybe 150 fans on the side of the teams probably at least 20-25 were Griz fans.

Too many unforced turnovers. No interior defense. Scrappy defense but way too many fouls. At times, too many passes, swapping out good shot opportunities for a harder shot or, worse, a turnover. Hard game to watch. Inartful at best.

Well, I thought they played a good game; second half good shooting (how does a team come out of a locker room and just shoot better?) Thinking that with all this guard talent, what this team would look like with Martin Breunig still in there. Wow.

Fab looked promising the first year, seemed to take a step back last year. This year, some very good stuff, but it's still on a game-by-game basis, which is frustrating to watch.
