Griz at Oregon (Tues)

Why pull Oguine and Rorie at the 6 minute mark until the 4 minute mark? Oregon extended the lead while those two were out. They are clearly are two best players. Not pretending to be knowledgeable.

They are the two hot players tonight. 19 and 12.

Fell away at the end; need more consistent shooting period; that's really the only weakness. Looking at Oregon's pre-conference record this year, UM looks good.

A reasonable question. Rorie had 4 fouls, not sure how many MO had.

I have only seen one game this year so my direct info is limited but overall I am encouraged and feel this team is legitimately better than recent years past. I felt this year would be tough without Bruenig. Krslovic sounds like he improved his physique and is more athletic this year making the loss of MB much more tolerable. Last year I knew we would be up and down and inconsistent, and we were. This year, I have more confidence that night to night we will consistently play well which is the key to winning the Big Sky and the conference tourney. We will see but should be fun in any case.

I forgot to mention that I would like to win more games in the out of conference schedule but love the level of the teams we are playing and think Decuire should keep pushing for at least this difficulty in the future. It is fun for fans, fun for players and makes our team better. I dont think fans, players and coach are satisfied with winning the Big Sky and then going 1 and out in the NCAA. We have to learn to compete and eventually beat some of these big time programs we are playing because they are the same type of teams (and probably not quite as good given we are regularly 15 or 16 seed) we have to beat to advance past the first round in the tourney.
