Griz at Oregon (Tues)

I forgot to mention that I would like to win more games in the out of conference schedule but love the level of the teams we are playing and think Decuire should keep pushing for at least this difficulty in the future. It is fun for fans, fun for players and makes our team better. I dont think fans, players and coach are satisfied with winning the Big Sky and then going 1 and out in the NCAA. We have to learn to compete and eventually beat some of these big time programs we are playing because they are the same type of teams (and probably not quite as good given we are regularly 15 or 16 seed) we have to beat to advance past the first round in the tourney.

Agree 100%. This will only make a team better.. you play to the level of your competition and the Griz have not disappointed.

I'm watching Oregon beat up on UNLV right now. And that is without Boucher playing. The more I watch the better I think this Griz team is. Especially if the bigs just play average. Our guards can keep with almost any team.

Bdizzle I think you are right. This year we are an outside in team whereas last year we were an inside out team. Our guards need to play great (and they have for the most part) and our bigs need to be good. Good enough to make teams pay if they pay too much attention to the guards/perimeter players (our primary threat) who need to make a good percentage of threes and score on a dribble penetration when available. If our bigs play great I dont think there is anyone who can hang with us in the Big Sky. Last year we needed more consistency from the guards to make people pay for double and triple teaming MB as our primary threat was MB.
