Unbelievable... The Griz will beat NDSU twice in one year on Saturday.
Wanna bet?

Alpha, I'm confused. You're on here wanting to bet against the Griz and over on Bisonville you're talking up the Griz and predicting a Griz victory and wanting to buy tickets to Frisco to watch the Griz in the Natty. What gives? Who do you want to win the game and who do you think will win the game?

Connor Kaegi 6'7" JUCO QB committed to Montana tonight. played as a freshman and feather river college this year.

not sure I see the upside with him...not super athletic...sub-optimal stats....

alfalfa......if you are giving 17, i'll take the bet. Any amount up to a hundie. Drop me a line or post it here.

Same here I will bet you a $100 that the Bison do not win by more than 17, put up or stop with your antics they are pure poppycock plain and simple.

ok the spread was 15 and now 10??? Who is fixing it for the GRIZ to win... http://www.5dimes.eu/livelines/livelines.aspx#al_27

That's what happens to spreads when everyone takes the underdog plus the points. Which tells you what the betting public thinks...this game will be LOT closer than 17. Hell, there may be NDSU fans who bet the Griz, giving 17.

Obviously it could use some help. But horrible is pretty extreme. If comparing to other FCS teams I would say our run defense is slightly above average. Hard to really read the statistics when we played some real good running teams such as PSU, Cal Poly, NDSU, MSU, etc.

haha, bring down the spread to NDSU -6 for all I care, Ill be punching paper on betus until they run out saturday morning if it gets that low.

I believe he has anger management issues.
It seems he'll be punching Jerome Betis if the spread drops too far. :ugeek:

I've seen a few rants by you lately trying to bolster our run defense, and I don't get it, at all. It's the biggest weakness on this team. You're starting to sound like UM75 using "stats" to claim Simis was good.

"slightly above average"? I guess so, but that is not something to brag about. Most of the teams you mentioned ran right over us. And you did not even mention Weebs, ISU, UND, hell even LU could run on us. Thus, your argument makes no sense: the good running teams could run on us, and so could the mediocre ones. Seems like a few times this year opponents did us a favor by going away from the run to keep up with our tempo.
I'm not a stats guy but they are not "hard to really read." 400 yards of rushing is bad, no matter who the opponent is.
The only stat that matters is our DLs (esp the interior) are undersized. we will have to stack the box or get creative with blitzes to have a chance. That, and the fact that our biggest recruiting "need" are DTs, should tell you something about our run defense.

Running yards allowed is about as meaningful as TOP.

The only STAT that matters is final score. And on that note we've managed to come out on top 8 times out of 12. 8-)

I mean the only place I "ranted" was on Bisonville. I never said anything here. If you think our rush defense is the biggest weakness of the team I invite you to take a look at our o-line.

I have stated all along that our rush defense is slightly above average. Not great, not horrible. I NEVER bragged about it only contradicted those such as you who find it to be a blaring weakness. And as far as teams that "ran right over us." 8 of our 12 games we held teams to lower than their season average YPG and YPC with the exception of the games that Simis started(coincidence? ). We have faced a lot of run heavy teams and that inflates the YPG stat. If you judge us by YPA we are top 30 in the FCS. I mean...not great...not horrible.

I invite you to check these numbers out before you claim our rush defense is "horrible"

NDSU(Season average: 238.6 ypg, 5.24 ypc)(Against Montana: 229 yards, 5.1 ypc)
Cal Poly(Season average 387.3 ypg, 5.46 ypc)(Against Montana: 330 yards, 4.3 ypc)
Liberty(Season average 119.7 ypg, 3.57 ypc)(Against Montana: 78 yards, 2.0 ypc)
NAU(Season average 167.5 ypg, 3.96 ypc)(Against Montana: 79 yards, 1.7 ypc)
UCDavis(Season average 121.8 ypg, 3.47 ypc)(Against Montana: 105 yards, 2.7 ypc)
**Weber State(Season average 181.9 ypg, 4.3 ypc)(Against Montana: 253 yards, 4.1 ypc)
**UND(Season average: 238.6 ypg, 5.15 ypc)(Against Montana: 267 yards, 5.3 ypc)
**Portland State(Season average: 257 ypg, 5.14 ypc)(Against Montana: 339 yards, 6.5 ypc)
**Idaho State(Season average: 124.3 ypg, 3.77 ypc)(Against Montana: 133 yards, 3.0 ypc)
EWU(Season average: 125.2 ypg, 3.85 ypc)(Against Montana: 96 yards, 2.4 ypc)
Montana State(Season average: 216 ypg, 5.19 ypc)(Against Montana: 190 yards, 5.1 ypc)
SDSU(Season average: 140.7 ypg, 3.71 ypc)(Against Montana: 117 yards, 2.9 ypc)

FCS and off shore betting (5dimes). Not a lot bet on FCS and especially when they is no trust in off shore sites. With that it doesn't take much to move the line
