Griz and South Dakota Predictions (Week 1)

First game is a total wildcard, Hauck hasn't always win the first game. Complete unknown how their D will play us with their new DC and his positionless scheme. Griz make adjustments and come from behind in the second half, kicker makes 4 field goals including the game winner. Griz win 33 -31
 
Biggest concern for me is going in against an unknown defense. Not saying it is at the same level, but this is similar to Stitt's first game against NDSU where the element of surprise certainly helped lead to a victory. I believe that factor, along with the Griz breaking in a new OL, will lead to this game being closer than it would in a later season matchup. With that said:

GRIZ - 31

South Dakota - 28
 
Griz offensive line is better than the Yote's and will give Sneed time to find the guy who can get open. But the Yote's QB will be running like crazy trying to stay out of Dante's grasp and find a few receptions downfield to keep the ball longer. That doesn't work out so well in the red zone, so I figure most of their scores will come from 50 yards or more.
Going to be a heck of a shootout with the Griz earning 35 and the Yotes 31.
