Griz 80 Weber 72

Griz won an exciting game against the Wildcats 80 - 72.

The Griz did start out the first half sluggish, defense was poor, and Criswell having the worst half I have ever witnessed.

But if weren't for Dlouhy and Davis, the outcome of this game may well have been in doubt. Dlouhy scored 14 points in the first half. I believe Davis had around 8 points.

Second Half, Kamaar Davis played great, scored in double figures. Davis hit 2 three pointers, something we do not see often. Andrew Strait also had a very good second half. Even Criswell played a little better.

Attendance wise, only around 3,815 watched the game.

Leading scorers for the Griz are:

Davis 23 points, 10 - 13 from field, 2 - 2 3pt line.

Dlouhy 16 points, 6 - 11 from field, 4 - 6 3 pt line.

Strait 14 points, 6 - 7 from field, 2 - 2 from freethrow line.

Martin, 10 points, 3 - 9 from field, 2 - 5 3pt line.

Okay, Griz play ISU on saturday at 5 pm. Be there or be square. ISU will be better than when Griz played them to start the year out. I am not going to guarantee a win by the Griz saturday like I did today. ISU is better than WSU.

Other games in the Big Sky:

PSU 84
NAU 81
Big road win for PSU

ISU 54
MSU 71
MSU holds home court as I expected.

Sac State is leading EWU at home.

Just notice that schedule has UM playing its last game at NAU on 2-28 (Monday). Is that correct? Why? Three games in five days.

:o :o yup, something about some folks playing in a bracket buster tournament possibly. Probably a good deal because the tournament is over a week from the monday, the next TUE WED , and the playoffs are sat that week. :o :o

Nice win....You all should have no problem with Idaho State. We played a terrible first half, and then finally took over in the second half. See you next weekend at the Brick

Kamarr owned the paint! He showed some real quickness and finesse along with his normal strong inside game. Virgil Matthews also had a heck of a game and gave the GRIZ a real lift!

:o :o No problem? I have heard that one before. But I will respond in kind. Nice win in Missoula you should have no problem next weekend at the Brick ( Kamarr is quiet in the first half sometimes and Martin had 1 t/o last night. ) :o :o Only problem I see is Portland State beat NAU on the road so we are going to have to be careful how we beat each other up or we could all end the season in Portland. No problem??

Used free tickets to go watch the cats and ISU. Beye looked like Wilt Chamberlain in the paint, ISU simply has no tall guys to cover the key. Griz should be able to get some interior buckets to loosen up the defense. ISU will go to a half court trap at times and they got a ton of turnovers off of it, then they went away from it(???). Mostly man-to-man so the guards need to take care of the ball...

Can't wait, first road trip for me with daughter in tow...

Go Griz!!!

This is due to "ESPN's bracket buster Saturday". Before the season, PSU, NAU, and Weber were selected by the conference to play an extra non-conference game in February. All the games are on Sat. Feb. 19, so the BSC had to rearrange their schedules to accomodate for it. This included the Weber@PSU game that was played a week before the rest of the teams started conference play. The PSU coach must be absolutely thrilled about this, he gets to play ISU at home on the Thursday, go play at Middle Tennessee State on Saturday, then go on the Montana road trip the next week!
