Griz were lead by:

Strait, 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 blocked shots, 4 assists. He was 8 - 8 from the field, 1 - 1 from the freethrow line.

Dlouhy, 17 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals. Was 6 - 11 from the field, 4 - 6 from 3 pt line, 1 - 1 from ft line.

Criswell, MVP, 16 points, 4 assists, 3 steals. Was 4 - 9 from field, 2 - 5 from 3 pt line, 5 - 6 from ft line.

Matthews, 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, 7 TO. Was 5 - 7 from the field, 2 of 3 from the 3 pt line, 3 - 3 from the ft line.

Team wise:

Shot 53.1% from the field, 44% from the 3 pt line, 78.9% from the Ft line.

Was outrebounded by 33 - 26. Griz turned the ball over 23 times. Fortunately, didn't cost them the game.

Drake turned the ball over 24 times. Shot only 50% from the field, and what looks like what cost them is free throw shooting, made only 64.7% (11 - 17). Griz made 15 - 19.

This is this first game that's been decided by less than 17 points since the first game against Loyola Marymount.

Drake's coach is Dr Tom Davis who coached Iowa for 13 years with stops at Stanford and Boston College. Maybe Coach K is earning his own roundball doctorate!
