Griz win on the road, beating EWU. What a turnaround from the previous game. Griz finely played some defense which proved big in this win.

Way to go Griz.

Griz had a 5 point deficit with around 7 minutes left to go, but after that, it was alll Griz.

It is back home next week, Griz should be able to win those two games, but ISU seems to be playing much better than when Griz beat them in Pocatello. ISU beat Weber State today 84 - 60.

Portland State beat MSU 68 - 51 and is now tied with MSU for the lead in the Big Sky. Montana is now just one game back. Close, but still, there is quite few games left. Well, this game certainly made me feel better. Hopefully, this team can keep me from feeling as bad as I did after PSU game.

Unfortunately, EWU doesn't supply live stats, and the radio hasn't supplied the full stats yet.

Nice hard fought win by the GRIZ. No Lamar Farr tonight either. He was hurt in the PSU game and didn't practice yesterday. It sure if great to have Kamarr back! The GRIZ dominated in the paint tonight. I think this was an especially sweet win for Matt Dlouhy who had family at the game. He said, in the post-game show, that he was not recruited by Eastern.

Did the Griz fans chant "Just like football" in the closing seconds?

I got a couple of teen aged girls sitting next to us to chant it a few times.

:o :o As I understand it Andy Hill Griz coach was at Eastern last year and I think Ray Giacoletti is now at Utah. According to my TV and Radio. R G was at eastern last year. Wherever it is he is at they are 17-3 :o :o

Giacoletti coaches the University of Utah Utes now. I have seen a few of there games and they look really really good. Like scary good. I am betting they will win the Mountain West title easily.

Giacoletti is a fabulous coach-EWU is 50% less without him. Griz have a chance if team concept can continue. Some players need to learn to pass
the ball.

who are we talking about when saying, "Some players need to learn to pass
the ball."

from looking at the stats, it doesnt look like anyone was shooting and missing many shots

I've got to say, the Eastern game was exciting basketball for the Griz. If they're playing like that every week, then it is a shame no one is watching them in Missoula.

:o :o They are playing exciting basketball and it is. These things take time. And occasionally you run into a nasty road game along the way like PSU. Bobcats had the same experience at PSU. The Griz are fortunate to be deep enough to hang in against Eastern and get back on the path to success Its the old chicken or the egg problem. The Griz have to continue to get it done without atmosphere until the fans get the word that they are playing exciting basketball. I think the fans will continue to lay an egg this year unless the Griz host one of the playoff games or the tournament. A crowd that would show only for this type of situation will not know how to act but it would provide a bounce into the future. I think the Griz are back on the long path leading to success. :o :o
