Griz 4-0 Its First 4 Games?

2-2 or 3-1 most likely, however 4-0 might not be as impossible as one thinks right now. App lost a lot too. The 2008 Griz stole a big road win vs CPSLO early in the season and they were pegged as even more inexperienced than this group.

I think 3-1 at absolutly the worst case even without JJ. I fully expect Johnson to be the QB and we should be 4-0 without a problem at all.

They may be having an off year, but ASU has to be salivating over this game. They're playing a televised huge revenge game at home against a largely inexperienced and possibly down UM team. I'll be (pleasantly) amazed if the Griz pull this one out.

What will Griz record be when it faces EWU? They play USD, App St, Liberty, and NAU. They'll probably spoil Joe Glenn's "homecoming." AppSt, on the road, big question. Liberty, unknown, but should be a W. NAU should be a W. My prediction, possibly 4-0, 3-1, at worst.

I do believe the 2012 Griz will simply be the Griz, once again, with or w/o JJ. :geek:

Whatever it is you are smoking, I gotta get me some. Whoo!

I have a feeling the Griz will be fairly bad. They need a new hc one with more experience and knows how to win games. Delaney is an assistant at best. Just a good leader. Doesn't mean he's a good hc. Plus the defense is very suspect this year. Especially at the cb position. Don't even know who will be the QB. Look at 2010 7-4 when I believe that team had more talent than this years and a better coaching staff. 5-6 or 6-5 year would not surprise me.

I will walk naked down Higgins if the Griz go 5-6. :? :?

I didn't say they would. Said I wouldn't be surprised. Too much crap has happened to expect a great season. So I'm not getting my hopes up to be let down.

4-0 or at worst 3-1.

App State will be tough at their place but now way Liberty, USD or UNA win.

USD will be at least a 3-4 TD blow-out. They lost something like 23 seniors on a very mediocre team. Glenn has a lot of work to do at USD.

Without knowing who the qb will be it's pretty hard to predict anything. I highly doubt the griz will go 4-0 without jj. I think 2-2 at best without him. Hopefully I'm wrong and one of these young QBs can prove to be great and can win games. Without a good QB though it's hard to win any games. I have high hopes for Trent, but I doubt he'll make good decisions the first few games. With SSH, I don't expect much from him. He looked like a worse Nate Montana to me. I have no clue about Gustafson(sp) though. Never seen him play.

A friend of mine, and myself talked about SSH and Gustafson just a few weeks ago. He coaches football up there. He told me they both have very strong arms. He feels with time, and coaching, either can return the GRIZ to a great pass oriented offense. Each is more mobile, than Swogger. With, or Without JJ, Gustafson could really use a year to mature, and learn. He feels with 3 to 4 games would be all SSH needs to make this offense consistent. Basically, about the same learning curve as we had with JJ, last season. The main difference being SSH getting rid of the ball, instead of saving things with his feet, and would not be taking the number of nasty hits, that JJ did.

I'd like to see the Griz keep the mobile QB offense. It's a lot more exciting to me. I wouldn't mind a mobile qb and a strong passing qb rotating though. If Trent can improve his passing that would be great so the defense wouldn't know he's basically going to run it all the time(like with kemp, even if he wasn't running, wouldn't need to worry about his horrible pass game).

I think with Pflu's circus out of town we'll see the most focused team we've seen since 2009, regardless of who's under center (figuratively speaking, of course).

3-1 is the best bet.............. I think the defense is very under-rated and keeps us in things so the big question for me can we put up enough points to beat an Ap State. In my humble opinion I think we have 2 very good coordinators and a very capable group of players to make a lot of noise. The best thing about pulling off an upset in Boone would be to shut the cats up. :thumb: Man what an annoying bunch!
Go Griz!!

I'm curious as to who you all think that 2nd loss is to. Three of those games are at home...

NAU could be a challenge as they usually play good on the road when it's not cold out yet.

Actually the 5th game (@EWU) would be the real kicker - if the Griz could get to that one 3-1 we'd be in ok shape.

Agree that Ewoo is the kicker. NAU will be tough, but I will take Griz homefield advantage all day long. There has been a slight historical precedent set..I am a betting man..when was the last time NAU beat the Griz? My memory has diminished since the pre-Sourer's era..
