Griz 2-deep

Wow. Given those two deeps I don't see any way in hell the griz aren't completely owned in the trenches Saturday. You'll be seeing the Griz lines getting pushed around all day. Yes, if I'm wrong I'll come back here and admit it but I don't see how they're going to be able to hold their own.

If that's only how it always worked. There's plenty of D-II schools that have a bunch of 300plus lbs linemen, but they aren't particularly strong, athletic, or fast. Staring at weights on paper to figure out an outcome isn't accurate. Some colleges have lines bigger than NFL lines, Are they stronger? Better? Absolutely not. The Bison players are very good, strong, and well coached. Kidder is 275 in this chart and 280 in another one. Many of these weights are old. Regardless, Kidder is one of the fiercest interior Griz D-lineman we've had in a long time, regardless of weight. Keep an eye on him, he'll be manhandling alot of 300 plus pounders throughout the season. But since you're absolutely obsessed with the Griz losing, I'm sure your logic is enough. Obviously, NDSU is a huge favorite, duh. But really, the Griz will be playing to win the game, doesn't matter how it happens or how it looks.

Speaking of completely owned...

I'm not worried about the D line or any part of the D. Our Offense will make sure the D isn't on the field nearly as much as last year. We have been able to scheme for this game all year. NDSU lost Crockett last year and he was a special player, advantage Griz! NDSU is very young on D and they have not been able to scheme for our new Offense. They beat us with as vanilla of an offense as possible last year in their place. This is now a vanilla offense with chocolate syrup, Carmel, fruit toppings and sprinkles!

Now UM has had 3 head coaches, Pflu, Delaney and Stitt, who have felt that the Nguyen brothers were the best option in the return game. Raider, how do you think UM has been able to attract so many dumb coaches?

Jes-s man, I was being facetious. I was poking fun at the mythical fumble stats that seem to follow the two.

Hey, so was I. Do you really think I believe the last 3 Griz coaches have been dumb?

Wilson and Bradley are awfully short for defensive tackles....
I'm less concerned with a short defensive tackle, than i would be with a lower weight. DT is all about strength, leverage, explosion and toughness, and the ability to get low on the offensive line and eating up double teams. Hopefully, our guys can do just that against a large Bison o line.

Lots of nose tackles are short. They're hard to block because they are and get so slow. I think Alan Saenz was only about 5'11" or 6.

I would assume no, but you would find some way to twist my words, throw in a couple stats, and argue about it...

Is your second string LT really 245lbs? That has to be a typo right? I also noticed the RG and RT are a little smaller in that 270lb range, but maybe that is what Stitt wants with his up tempo offense, some guys who are a little more agile and will also have a little more stamina than your typical 300 lber.

Our true frosh tackle last year, who played fairly well or at least okay against your stud d-end, and who was 3d on the depth chart (until 2 guys in front of him got hurt), weighed under 255 at mid-season. Don't know if he was heavier at start of season.

What about that two-deep gives you concern besides for the incorrect weights?

Think Sprunk weighs 270 or more.

Collectively?

Don't believe so, as I believe he got down to 245 for basketball season.
