oops sorry about the similar double post, the 2nd one should have been on another thread.

Don't want to hang too much on it but it's a small indicator less than halfway through conference play.CDAGRIZ said:Which of these formulae (record or Judmath) is used to determine the regular season conference champ in the Big Sky?
I ask because the WCC uses record, but I haven't the slightest what the BSC uses.

"I guess that puts the Zags at +2" turns it into a Zag thread????
You need to toughen up. It was one post dude.

Dude just because someone does not agree with you does not mean they need to toughen up. As a die hard GRIZ fan, I am tired of the your team or conference being brought into most every thread. IF anything, you need to respect the fact this is a GRIZ website, and not mention your team and/or conference on threads irrelevant to either.
Seriously, what is wrong with the site or sites dedicated to your team/conference? Why must you bring subjects that belong on their site(s) to EGRIZ. Many on EGRIZ would rather not either be brought up on this site constantly!!! Are we asking too much to respect that ? For those that may want to partake in WCC/ZAG forums, damnit, we know to go find those sites. Mods feel free to lock or move any WCC/Zag threads.
Even our most heated rival, MSU, does not have posters constantly flooding this site with MSU posts. We know we can go to bobcatnation.com if we want to talk about the cats. If your team is so damn special, why is there not more action on its own fan website? Please respect this as a GRIZ fan website, not a ZAG website.

The thing is, if you guys cared about Zag discussion, it'd be discussed on a zag board. I mean, you have to see the rationale. Coming to a Griz board for GU talk is somewhat idiotic.CDAGRIZ said:AtHomeInTheDahlbergDen said:Point is, no one cares where the Zags are on this scale... you made a snide WCC comment as well. I care. Lou cares enough to do the math. I think Jud himself probably cares since he is at almost all the zag games.
I just used WCC to make the point that I don't agree with the methodology. I didn't try to hijack the thread to turn it into a zag thread. The point was about the methodology (which, I think, was the topic). Substitute Pac-10 for WCC; feel better?

Yea, it does make it better. Every thread turns into a "you vs us" thing bc of stuff like that.

I've said, over and over, why we come here to talk about the zags. It's much more objective; we like to debate with non-zag fans; the zag board is a bunch of people agreeing with each other; etc.
On the second point: I'm sorry, I should have used another conference. But why would that make it into a "you vs. us"? I mean, I didn't say that the griz sucked or anything... I have to remember that it is partly my fault (like Few for the foul) because I should have known how everyone would react to my critique of the methodology using an analogy involving the WCC. I should know that simply typing the acronym causes so much pissed-offed-ness.

I am not sure debate is the proper word to describe what you guys really like to do. Argue seems to be much more appropo. :twocents:
