Seriously? Dennison built this university into a growing institution, and was a huge supporter of athletics. The enrollment grew every year he was here, and declined every year since he retired. That is all the evidence I need. You don't speak for my view of him.

Why do you keep bringing up the strip club thing, when, after the tape from the door was reviewed, it showed that he had never been there (and the bouncer had lied)? Do you think you are being funny, or just being a jerk?

In fact, the video proves that the individual contacted outside the club was not Mr. Gregorak and further, Mr. Benedetto's description of Mr. Gregorak did not fit that of the man captured on camera. There is no indication Detective Euler or the police spokesman ever reviewed the videotape prior to requesting a warrant or issuing this damaging statement. Further, absolutely no additional investigation was conducted whatsoever prior to or after Boulder Police making this arrest."

It was a set-up. All charges were dropped when the police actually did some investigation.

Sure helped get a lot of buildings built and long term debt bonded. Seems at least some of today's evident issues regarding programs, costs, enrollment demographics, etc. were on the horizon and unseen during King George's days.

Should be obvious to anyone with knowledge of the university before Dennison became president, and after he left. UM was stagnant before he became president, and under his leadership became the premier university in the state, gained a growing national reputation as a destination for out-of-staters, had a nationally ranked football program, and an enrollment which grew every year he was here. What more can anyone ask of a president? And now, we get our ass handed to us by MSU in enrolling in-state students, have no national recognition for our football program, have a declining enrollment, and are in the throes of staff layoffs and consolidations of course offerings. Dennison was the best president this university ever had, and it's not even close!

Oh well let’s just say I had some runins with George and some of his heavy handed ways and decisions. All the praise he gets for when he was president are negated by his pushing for Engstrom to be his successor.

I guess it really doesn’t matter now. Just don’t like the guy.

Fine you with you not liking these guys, and yes Dennison supported Engstrom, but the fact is that Dennison is probably the best president in UM history and did many good things for UM. Some of decisions in the final years were not as good, I am told. Around 2008 or so, Ian Davidson (Davidson Honors College and DA Davidson) told me that Dennison was the best president in UM history, by far. As for Gregorak, again, you don't have to like him, but I believe he's a great guy and virtually every kid who played for him loves him. He has many good friends and supporters in Missoula and Montana.
