Greetings!

Just about ready to hop on our flight to Seattle. Will be staying with family in NE Tacoma. Will be going through Tacoma tomorrow morning on our way to Bremerton and downtown Seattle. The wife and I are as excited as a couple of 6 year olds on Christmas Eve. GO GRIZ!!!

Mmmmmm....taaaaacooooos!!

Dude, hold the phones on TacoDawg and Taco Time. A few of my team just found the following tidbit on a site called Wikipedia: "In 1962, the first Taco Time franchise opened in Tacoma, Washington."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taco_Time

It's very clear that this tycoon of the Tacoma Taco Time Treasure was just here to try to troll up some demand. Too typical, and tantamount to tyranny.

I went to school in Tacoma for a year. I never called it Tac Town. Maybe, uh, what's that smell, lol.

I'd be saying this even if I wasn't a un-apologetic Cat fan, but the Huskies better hope its not a "good contest" if they have any aspirations of a National Championship. They are ranked high enough and need to be good enough to win the NC that the griz can't play them close. Say we take the App./Mich game where Mich was ranked 5th? Michigan showed they weren't a NC contender in that game. So realistically to me, UW should dominate if they can compete for a NC. That's not routing against the griz, that's just the reality of what UW needs to do in this game if they want to compete for that NC. Does anyone think that EWU plays Alabama close if they played in previous years?

Tac Town? Nope, back in the day it was The Aroma From Tacoma, or TAFT Town.
I agree with you about UW needing to dominate if they want to be in the talks for the NC. Last year Husky fans were all about their SOS and its going to be the same this year.

We'll try to make your tailgate before proceeding to the visitors area above the nose bleed section :thumb:
What were your thoughts on him? I personally think he's brilliant play caller and a QB guru.

As for tailgate...please stop by! I will be serving my famous salmon bisque with Avennia Oliane Sauvignon Blanc and a crisp strawberry balsamic salad. Cheers!

You were in Tacoma for a year and suddenly you're the authority on our nickname? How long ago did you live there? The aroma is gone and the place has really cleaned up it's act. We have a history museum, glass art museum, and of course, a big wooden dome! There is also the Stadium Bowl, where gladiator fights were staged back in the day. They even flooded it and staged a naval battle there.

Hey, what happened to Taco Dawg? He was here for a minute, and said he wanted to discuss the game, then he apparently headed back to Taco Town. I can't blame him. I like tacos, too.
Sorry for the delayed response. Busy week here in Tac Town. I recommend Tacos Guaymas on 38th St by the Tacoma Mall. If you ever stop by, you won't regret it!

We have been planning on this road trip since the day the match up was announced, we are looking forward to it. We know our chances are not to good but GRIZ NATION LOVES THEIR GRIZ, I'm sure just like you love your Huskies. I hope we show well and both learn something going forward for each of our programs. Other than this Saturday there are many griz fans that will be pulling for the dogs this year too.
We are in sec 330 row 54 seats 8,9,10. Do you know if most Griz are in this area or spread around.
We always love coming to the Seattle area so its a win win for us.
Thanks, GRIZ!

I have a cousin that is a GRIZ, but we have a deal. I always root for GRIZ unless they are playing my DAWGS, and he always roots for GRIZ unless they are playing my DAWGS.

DAWG SENSE!!

GET ITTTTTT!!!

What do you think on the wine pairing? Maybe a fresh, sleek, crisp Albariño with some nice acidity?

OK. Let's try this. Fill in the blank:

Summer Salad is to Pinot Grigio as Khakis are to [blank]

I know you are being sarcastic, but they only sell Coke products, Corona, and Modelo there. It isn't a bar. If you want a bar that serves tacos I would recommend the new taco bar on 6th Ave, El Borracho (translates to "The Drunk" en ingles). They have a 3 hour happy hour during weekdays from 4-7 pm, complete with a menu of over 20 types of tacos with a very wide selection of premium tequila, beer, and (of course) wine. Although I must say that I didn't try any of their wine or beer. I stuck to the tequila (of which I am an aficionado).

No, I wasn't being sarcastic. I prefer wine because it gets you drunker than beer.

And yeah, to paraphrase Willie Nelson: "I don't know why I drink tequila. It gets me drunker than hell. Come to think of it, I guess that's exactly why I drink tequila." :thumb:

Ugh, you pass, even though the chosen cruising wear is more Sea Ray than Riviera. I conclude you may not be Coach Ron Ash, but you know him.
