Great Video from a Young Fan

That stadium was EMPTY when Welnel made his interception! Apparently their entire fan base had given up before they started the final drive.

That kids great. I follow him on Instagram. He reminds me a lot of myself at his age where I had (and still have) that burning passion for everything Grizzly Athletics. He does however need to work on his steady hand . My favorite part of the video was the Husky fan in the background telling him congratulations and best of luck in the FCS.

Traffic. ;)
They all wanted to get out in front of the post-game traffic.

that stadium never had more than 25,000 people in it. Weird, since a few years ago when we went to that game it was packed. Covid?

Husky version of the "Trail of Tears"?

Lots of empty seats from the very beginning! What was the announced attendance?

64,053, according to this: https://www.espn.com/college-football/game/_/gameId/401309839

With a capacity of 72,500, there's no way there were that many butts in the stands!

My guestimate.....45,000 or so of the quietest fans you'll ever meet. Their fans may be upset with the performance of the team and lack of energy but the Huskies were a reflection of their fans....as were the Griz of theirs!

What you got from this video that you didn't from TV is a sense of how intimidating Husky Stadium must seem to a visiting team, from the vastness of the stadium with its looming cantilevers, to the raucous echoing noise of the fans and loudspeakers during the pre-game pagentry as the "TWENTIETH RANKED HUSKIES" pour in waves onto the field. Like Wash-Griz, there's a reason this is one of the citadels of college football.

It might have seemed at the beginning like the Lions versus the Christians. But not apparently to our kids.

(By the way, congratulations to UDub for not selling naming rights to the stadium.)

Just a note about the replay of the game: if you chose the highest level of fubo's subscriptions for your free trial, you can replay the game at will. Only problem is, you can't fastforward, and the beginning is still delayed with the other game that overlapped the begining.

Really? Seems it's officially Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium. Doubt that came free.

Their fans were never into the game. Washington Griz and Bobcat Stadium have some fans who know how to make a difference. The pregame purple smoke bomb entrance to the field was the noise highlight. "Citadels of college football" (and their fans) don't take games off!

Sounds like all class from the Husky fans post game. Lots of congrats you guys and good games.

Kudos to the Husky fans for that.
