Your University of Montana Grizzlies crowned outright Big Sky Champions claiming the number 2 seed.
Pretty damn impressive if you ask me. They beat Idaho, Sac State, UC Davis, and the 8-4 (yes 8-4) bubs.
Hosted and won a second round game against Delaware, a quarter final game against Furman ,and then beat a very talented NDSU team which made sure said bubs were , well, one and done in the playoffs. So much for pre season champs. The portal thus far hasn’t been to devastating for Montana but I’ve heard said bubs lost some key players. Oh well. Anyway Montana ended up 13-2 with a loss to a tough minded, well coached, senior laden team in South Dakota State (congratulations and deserved) in the FCS Championship Game.
Great season and still things to build on.
